Thanks for the advice. As for Beechcraft's placement for the carb heat, this is a new one for me. Of all the planes I've flown in real life (Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft) I've never seen it like this. Now, I've never flown (or been in) a Sundowner, my 1963 Musketeer was not setup like that.
as for noticing the oil temp prior to the engine just shutting down, no I never noticed that; I was basically just poking around to see what my Honeycomb yoke/throttle body assignments worked. I did not even know about the chocks being placed
