Hi John
Well i believe it narrows Down to preferences really. Not as much performance.. I have an i73770K OC to 4.6Ghz and a 4GB GTX770 factory OC and 16GB of RAM, so It should not affect me that much. Have easily over 40 frames with my render setup and that is uniformal meaning all over the world regardless of city and cloud setting in SMP PRO
I just like how the clouds are in Version 1.2, it may be the same as in v2 but somewhat different. Purhaps it is just me but I feel SMP in Version 1.2 is better and more fluient (that spelled ok?)
Anway, I do miss the cloud shadows tough, but it is not essential for flying so I can do without. And I have reduced the "bluish tint" in the clouds I belive and With HDR and no terrahaze installed it seems to be working just fine, even With cloud quality aka 1024 at max.
Only thing I need to find a fix for is the ambient strenght in the clouds, especially the cirrus clouds seem a bit too white for my tast..
Any idea?
I know you do not support previous Versions John, and I am not trying to say you need to move backward at all, I have downloaded that latest update but will stick to 1.2 for a while.
PS..
That is the great thing about SMP and having all Versions on disk, you can find the one you like and use that..

Nice to know, how come i reduced/eliminated the bluish color in the clouds when setting fog color to zero, cirrus and cumulus.. And are there any way to copy the cloud shadow effect to version 1.2, I think that is the best working version so far
-
PS.. The default-turbidity = 1 disables the "foggy wall layer" shown on the picture when visibility is set to high
-
Just as I liked it

Reverted back to Version 1.2 and tweaked silverlining.config changing these settings

default-turbidity = 1
metaball-texture-dimension = 64
ambient-scattering = 0.78

Cirrus
# Fog color inside cloud
stratus-fog-red = 0
stratus-fog-blue = 0
stratus-fog-green = 0

Snow-flakes
# The color of snowflakes. Pure white looks a little cartoonish.
snow-color-r = 0.4
snow-color-g = 0.4
snow-color-b = 0.4

Just my preferences, not done yet..

Hell, make that for FS and P3D too

Had the same problem as topic argued, gone when reverted back to 1.2
-
Found that Sky Maxx went from good to worse, so i went back to 1.2. Now it is perfect both in eyecandy and performance, next I am gonna find a way to implement cloud shadows

I couldn't say at this time. We will be discussing it however in the next few weeks. Certainly we want our 737 to be fully representative of the real aircraft. Nearing 4.5 years of development though, we are about ready to concede a few things for our initial release, especially less frequently used features. Now that being said, we do not plan to rest on any laurels should we receive any after the release. There is a "line" that we have set for ourselves prior to release. We'll just have to wait and see.

Sure hope we get a full professional version at first release

Merry Christmas

Holy mother, first of I can say there is no airplane out today for both xp and fs that is this detail in simulation. Outstanding job guys.
Second, have an merry christmas to you all, take care of your families and friends and let the plane dev rest for the holidays.
Thank you for all your work and effort into this plane, looking forward to it for sure.

God jul Morten, takk for bildet
Merry Christmas to all IXEG..

But it happens over at the ORG, which I know you are banned from. Still, I would like to link to it:
Code name: Mesh Remexe (is from some South American guy) ... and it can export some part of the mesh in a format, which you can then edit via via Sketch Up ... and then the tool merges that changes back (it still seems to be very complicated and error prone to use).
Thanks, downloaded as we speak (and no, I am not banned from the .org)

I think I told this many time - but I repeat it - Landclass data (thus, the information about tows / city extents) does NOT come from OSM, but from the other raster landclass data
Thanks, you dont purhaps know which data or site contains this information?
What I miss is plolygon editing tool for changing geo lines and mesh shaping.

PS..
Latest sim 10.31

Hi Andras
Love the detail in your new package, just love how all the new islands and bays just pop up.
But I have one question, somewhat more an issue than a question to be frank.
You said you are using openstreetmap as basis of the autogen. Did I understand you correctly then?
Anyway, might be and issue there, as I checked my home and found that no buildings are implemented in your packed, not even one.
Does it even to this or do I have this all upside down and the package includes only rivers, mesh and coastlines.
See pictures in sim
Se picture from openstreetmap (where I have placed a lot of buildings via the editor (previous edit)

I hope this video will get you over the holidays, and that this Christmas is the last one you have to spend without the IXEG 737-300 sitting in your aircraft folder!
Indeed it will, take you time and keep in mind that bugs will always surface, even after release.

Very nice, keep up the good work
PS.. What are you modelling in?

Fisheye, nice!

Talked to a EasyJet captain today, he said they use pads for different programs, used to use laptops but they are in most cases replaced by company pads Airbus performance software is called FlySmart, and some uses Lufthansa's Lido Maps and Vistair DocuNet for manuals
It is correct that FMGC (as it is called in airbus) cannot calculate V-Speeds, they need then to use the Takeoff Performance part of FlySmart where they set runway, weather, weight etc.. Then they get their V-Speeds.

Just bought the plane my self so I have not been able to check it out yet. But I guess it works like any other advanced plane, you
import navdata via navigraph or aerosoft
EDIT
Noticed the Advanced vs pro info now, so disregard

Shit, cannot download from X-Plane.org due to ban - Need help anyone?
-
This is an request to the maker, please do not release this baby till christmas, don't want to ruin the hollidays by locking myself in front of the computer.
