  1. I am at around 60 fps with all graphics feature at minimum, and I still get an occasional oscillation in the tracking direction when driven by the Avidyne Trainer XP in the NAV mode. Is there anything else I could tweak to eliminate this? Thanks!
  2. Thanks!
  3. I see. Is there a way to know what frame rate is the XP running at? Other than the warning message when it's too low.
  4. Thanks Cameron, this was very helpful. I had a GTX 1060 nvidia card with 4 GB in my other computer, swapped the two, and the engine surges stopped. Everything runs pretty smooth all around now despite the weak CPU. I am using the sim to practice IFR flying, so I don't need high quality scenery or texture, as long as the engine and the avionics work. And now they seem to work well. In fact, even the Avidyne's IFD XTrainer app seems to run more consistently, i.e. with fewer and smaller oscillations in the NAV mode. I wonder if that known problem is also related to the GPU power? Any comments on that subject would be much appreciated. Thanks again! Valery
  5. I see. X-Plane says anything with more than 1GB and Vulcan support will do, so I thought it's enough. Can you please recommend a not-too-fancy card that will work better?
  6. Hi Cameron, The computer is Intel i5-12400 2.5GHz with 12GB RAM. The graphics card is Nvidia GT 730 with 2 GB, 901MHz clock and the latest Vulcan-supporting driver 473.81. What is the bottleneck here? Thanks, Valery
  7. Hello, I am experiencing the weirdest behavior of the engine surging in flight -- see video attached. It behaves as if I am moving the throttle back and forth periodically, full range. It feels very realistic: all engine parameters, as well as the prop and even the pitch of the plane, are all "responding" to these oscillations in power! So first I thought it's a simulated failure, but I double-checked that the failures checkbox is unchecked and also pressed "Fix all systems". I also re-calibrated the yoke twice, but the strange behavior persists. Any advice of how to deal with it? Thanks, Valery video_2022-11-10_08-48-31.mp4
  8. Hello, I am really enjoying the sim, it's unbelievable how realistic the SR22TN is -- thank you! For my emergency practice, I tried yesterday an engine-out descent. In a real plane, I set the IAS to 88 kts, which is my best glide speed, ALT to 0, and the autopilot pitches for that airspeed. When I did it in the sim, DFC-90 kept flying straight (instead of pitching up) until the AS eventually got down to 88, at which point it started lowering the nose to maintain that indicated airspeed. So it behaved as if it will only *lower* the nose but not raise it in order to maintain the desired IAS. Is that by design? Attached is the picture when I am in a descent from 2000 at IAS=100kts and the AP wouldn't raise the nose to slow down to 88kts. Thanks, Valery
  9. Hi Coop, Checking again today I now see +2.5deg up, which I is tolerable. Sorry, I just started using the SR22 (and loving it!), so I must have messed something up yesterday, because I swear I saw more than 5deg up and climb rates >500 fpm after pressing S&L. Maybe I was at full throttle, which would at least explain the high climb rate... Anyway, it seems Ok now. Thank you very much for a quick response. Valery
  10. Hi Coop, That worked, thank you very much! Valery
  11. Hello, No matter how many times I changed it in the aircraft settings, when I start my flight, my left fuel tank is always empty. Other settings (e.g. color of the aircraft) get saved, but the amount of fuel under "Weight, Balance & Fuel" gets reset every time I start X-plane with only 7.8lbs in the left tank. Any advice on how to change this would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, Valery.
  12. Hello. I have just purchased the SR22 Entegra, and I see something unusual with the DFC autopilot. Pressing the Straight-and-Level button levels the wings, but brings the pitch up to about 5 degrees, so the plane is climbing. Is there a calibration of some sort that I need to carry out on the DFC? Thanks!
