  1. Thanks. I'll try with that, and check the CPU load. But if I’m not wrong, there will not bee much CPU load. e
  2. Well, my problem with low performance in XP started before I changed graphic card, so I don't see the relevance in your conclusion. But thanks for your response. best, erlend
  3. Thanks, but you might read all the text in the first tread. I would not be surprised if that would lead you to another conclusion.
  4. Did not help with Nvidia drivers. Result with GTX 680 was black screen and reboot every 40 second. Running OS 10.8.2 Maybe next OS release will support this card, but I'm not sure if it is the chipset og the 4GB memory that is the problem. e
  5. Just to put tings in correct order: Its a 2008 Mac Pro with: Dual Intel Xenon processors 2,8 Ghz, quad core 8 Gb RAM Asus GTX 670 with 2GB VRAM (also Tried GTX 680 with 4GB, but that card dit not work at all in the Mac). And the temerature inside the Mac is constantly 31 deg. C when running XP or not, but if i set up the fan speed with fan control software, the temperature drops to 27 deg. C Note: The performance drop happened before i changed card, and I do not live in a hot place on this earth, and I have updated to the latest Nvidia drivers. e
  6. I have noticed lately that my Mac pro is noticable slower than it used to when using XP10. Have no exact number, but would guess a drop in framerate of aprox. 10 in general. Also I've noticed that the CPU fans are very quiet. (They have always been quiet using other software like Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere). But when using XP 9.x and 10 the fans have normaly increased rpm considerable. But not so lately. Just idle even when trying to max out XP10. It's like the CPU's dont "bother" woring to much. (The fans are working. They idle at 500rpm and i can change the speed by using a fan control software). After I noticed this "slower performance" I changed the display card from gtx 285 to HD 5870, but NO change in framerate. I also changed from HD 5870 to GTX 670 and still NO change in framerate. That I find very amazing! Doing some tests with different settings gave me most drop in framerate with scatterd clouds. With like 20% clouds and scatterd in 4000ft and good VFR visibility i will get about 17 in framerate at KSEA, when normaly that would be about 25. I can increase clouds to 150% and only loose 1 in framerate. (Weird?). Volumetric fog will give a drop of 5 in framerate. More or less all other settings i can max out or set to minimum without much change in framerate. There is not much difference between XP10 32 and 64. This is probably a Mac support forum question, but since the performance drop is related to XP, I try here first. Does anyone have suggestions? Erlend
  7. Position "yourself" around the 3d cockpit by using arrow keys (left, right, up or down) and , or . (move away from or closer to instr. panel). When satisfied, store the view with <ctrl> + 1 to 9 on the numeric keypad, and simply press the number on numeric keypad for the view you want. I have stored forward view on <8>, left on <4>, com/nav/gps on <5>, right view on <6>, overhead on <9> and so on. Think this also works in 9.7 Erlend
  8. TK. Thank's a lot for fixing the autopilot in the King Air. Have not had time to test this yet, but are there still some issues with radio (com1 and com2)?Last time I had a go in the King Air, I was (after a lot of fiddling) able to activate the com radio, but all I could do was to listen to the ATIS. Even after filing a flight plan, there was no way to get clearance or at all interact with ATC . This works perfectly in the Baron though, at the same airport. Best e.
  9. Thanks again for quick response. I don't think it's a license issue. I have not changed hardware, but upgraded from Lion to mountain Lion. I guess I would get a license error message if license where screwed. But I'll contact Cameron as you suggest. It may also be what Xenonkatze suggests. Well then, back to the Baron. But thats ok. That plane works superb for me! regards e
  10. Thanks for response, but I do not run in 64bit. I always start x-plane in 32 bit. But where is his plugin supposed to be? I have deleted my XP9 folder, so if it sould be in resources/plugin I'm afraid its gone. I have 1 download left at X-aviation but my link expired in march so I can't download any more. Regards e
  11. While I am waiting for an C90B update, I thought i should log some time in the Falco, but in XP 10 it's impossible to start. Can not select fuel tank. The selector bounces back to off. The same goes for the ignition key, trying to set for both magnetos. Dragging the key all over to start the key will flip back and fourth engaging the start motor all the time, but the engine will not fire, prob. because fuel selector is off. Is there maybe some script missing? It worked in XP9. I copied the Falco folder from XP9 to XP10. Maybe thats the problem, or is the plane incompatible with XP10. Running Mac Pro (10.8.2) e
  12. Thanks Kris. I had not seen that post, but now I have. And that is great news. Now I'm really looking forward to the next release and hopefully find a C90B update! e
  13. Oh, fantastic. Can we write a whish list? Well, I have not to many. Have graduated (self training) from C172 via Baron58 and now the c90B, and found the C90B to be quite superb except from some small things. First of all, the autopilot is for me a nightmare to handle. It's ok to initially set Heading, but if deactivated, it's a challenge to get activated again. I strongly suspect there is missing a button or two like (flight Director off/on/auto). Also changing flight level is a struggle. But it might also just be my lack of knowledge on how it should be operated. Also I had to assign a button on my flight stick to set "headset" for Com1 or Com2, but with no indicators it's a guesswork to know which one is active. And the fuel level instruments seems to me to be a static picture. Nice if they could show the remaining fuel. If these things are to be attended, it would really enhance my flight experience with this plane. I thought I might be able to address some of the things in plane-maker, but to be honest, I did not understand much in this tool, and absolutely not in the 3D-panel that for me not look to much like in the plane. Hopefully, some of these whishes will be “mended” some day. e
