So it's been a few months and no answer. So far I haven't flown a single mile with this plane and I'd love to get a response, please.

I just bought the SR22, but so far I can't fly it. The FPS hardly ever gets above 10, and that is without plugins and custom scenery, and even turning all graphic settings to the lowest.
I think I have about the same MacBook Pro as @Coop has (he mentioned the 5500M, I have the 5300M). So the 10 FPS doesn't make sense...- 1

Sorry for the late reply, I was away (vacation) for a few weeks. I'll check your suggestions.

Also, it appears this is isolated to some Mac's.
I have a MacBook Pro 16inch (2019) with a AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4 GB, if that helps.

Now this is interesting. If I turn on HDR for visual effects in the graphics settings of X-Plane everything is fine (with Metal). One step lower gives the trouble mentioned above.

I have to say, I like the idea.

I think since version 11.53 or so I can't use the TBM-900 anymore using Metal on the Mac. See screenshots for what I mean (notice the menu on the left and the lever on the right).
Things I tried:
- remove plugins and custom scenery
- switch between windowed mode and full screen
Turning Metal off solves the problem, but for performance reasons that's not really an option for me.
Edit: after a while X-Plane crashed by itself, something with the TBM according to the log, so added that log as well.
FPS starts at 25+ and drops to 10- after a few seconds

Nothing else is running, not even other plugins. And since iniBuild's A310 and A300 run fine (even with plugins), as well as Hotstart's TBM900, I don't see why the SR22 wouldn't run on my MacBook. Those three are not the lightest planes either.
