Thanks Gary,
time is the most important factor to me and thus a single source would be nice.
But now that you have already done most of the work...Flo
Hardly takes any time at all to type whatever country name + AIP into google. Pretty much every country has an official source of charts online available!

The tutorial flight for the PMDG DC-6 has you going from KPDX to KSEA. An enjoyable short hop, 53 minutes including taxi time. From 8000', here's a view of Mt. Adams.

I was wondering when I was going to see some live shots of the DC-6!! Would love to hear your opinions on it. I'm overall positive about it, but there are a few aspects I found disappointing. Nonetheless, nice to see some study level vintage aircraft in X-Plane!

After nearly 6 years of bumpy development and a long beta testing phase, the Let L-410 is here.
That is dedication! Mad respect, and thank you for sharing the results of your hard work.

Alaskan has a lot of flights to Hawaii, so there's a good connection for ya :-)
And while I can't speak for someone else, I read Leen's remarks as, "You did a great job, it's unfortunate that the paintkit doesn't reward such effort as well it should if it wasn't horizontally compressed." I.E. you got a great compliment from one of the most well-known texture artists in the X-Plane community.

Best I can do is simply show you where I sit every day, 6 days a week now in an effort to get this thing functional asap!Saw the HEB can and thought, bet he lives in Texas ... then I saw the location under your profile photo.

I've gotten on just fine with the variety of developers in X-Plane so far...And you'll get along even better with more!
I, too, dislike the drama surrounding their style of announcements. Which is why I don't really pay attention to it. Doesn't matter to me until the product is released, vaporware until then. Nonetheless, I'm also really looking forward to this release. A well-built DC-6 simulation (even if a DC-6 is not your thing) is a bajillion times better than the alternative of nothing at all...

It is announced, PMDG will develop the DC-6 to X-PlaneI called it! Thanks for the x-post with link, didn't have to leave here to get all the info + original source for our convenience!

Briefed for ILS Yankee approach into Rovaniemi runway 21. Does anyone even reads this? ;]Yes

Have fun and learn a lot at university Theo, and best of luck Goran on the texturing, always good to advance one's skill set.

Customer, except as expressly permitted in an Addendum, will not
Unless otherwise provided in the Documentation or agreed in advance and in writing by Google, Customer will notThe restriction offers the possibility of an addendum to the contract, i.e. an additional agreement between Google and the individual customer. The addendum you quoted is one such addendum. In this case, it does not alter the original terms away from the very clear "Customer will not" language. I am of the opinion that your opinion is correct.

Now it´s time for me to learn moreThere are a lot of youtube videos as well. Sometimes seeing someone else do it helps more than reading it in a manual.

Tulsa to Dallas in the mighty 757-200...Good call on leaving Tulsa. Questionable taste in destination. Great ride!

A few updates on university to give you an idea of what non-X-Plane stuff is on my plate and how it affects my X-Plane performanceTake it from the old farts ... don't let your X-Plane "performance" affect your non- X-plane performance. I too dropped calculus back in the day. I ended up going to law school rather than making big bucks in a STEM career. Don't be me!

quite frankly photographs never capture just how absolutely spectacular the mountains are, simply because the human eye processes real-life differently than it processes simulated life. This is very true! I appreciate your detailed response and understand that artistic taste is of course very subjective. I am super excited to see more of the islands receive photo scenery! I've played around with it a bit, at one point had all of Molokai done, but never had the time nor artistic skills to remove the clouds from the satellite photos in a way that I liked. It was fun for a season but glad to see somebody else taking it on to completion!

Looking good! Friendly advice from someone who has lived in Hawaii and flown over Kahoolawe many times, the colors are pretty saturated here. Yes the soil is orangeish-red, but in person is much more muted. Lots of photos I see of Hawaii are super saturated as well, when the reality is much more...brown.

If no one bought them at $80 dollars they wouldn't cost that much, irrespective of the amount of effort that went into them. What is clear though is that the flight sim market is generally for people who have a fair amount of disposable cash.Basic economics states if return on investment isn't sufficient then the models won't be built at all. If the buyers refused to buy anything over say $20, then the quality of the add-ons being churned out would only be of a certain quality. You would most definitely not find study level simulations.
Also, flight simulation is a luxury market, of course it favors people with disposable cash. People without disposable cash shouldn't be purchasing luxury items. Yet if you think about it, a lot of people don't hesitate to buy lots of sugary drinks. A month of abstaining from sugary drinks (yet another luxury item) is enough money to purchase the costlier plane add-ons on the X-Plane "market". Hell, at 10-years old I was making $8/week doing household chores for my parents and saving to purchase items far more costly than X-Plane add-ons.

yet then pay 80% - 120% of the simulator price for aircraftseconomies of scale.

You should advance the TRQ with the PL's to approx 10-15% (to avoid torque bloom possibly over rated torque) below TRQ set on CTOT then turn CTOT switches on.So if CTOT is set to 108% (per the tutorial) then I would advance the PL's to about 90% before engaging CTOT?
-
Ok, so it was my error all along, I was not adjusting the CTOT knob correctly. I was thinking that I was selecting the power level percentage at which the CTOT system would engage, but the knob selects the actual torque limit, so I was artificially limiting myself to about 70% torgue, then assuming the system failed to engage and adjusted the power lever manually.
Thank you for the quick response on a Saturday, excellent service as always.

CTOT armed. % torque is dialed in next to the CTOT arming switches, correct? Will give it another go and report back.
-
I'm having difficulty understanding how the CTOT works. My understanding from the flight tutorial is that I slowly advance the power levers until it reads 64% on the TQ pop, then the CTOT should engage and take over adjusting the power levers for me. Is that correct? The issue I'm having is I've never had the system engage. If I leave the power levers at 64% torque never advances to 108%. I read in the support forums that there might be some hardware issues with CLs, but I do not have my CLs assigned to hardware. I've been using an off-brand gamepad, and just recently got a Thrustmaster hotas x. But just to be sure I tried the take-off sequence multiple times with no hardware, just mouse controls and keyboard.Any suggestions/help are much appreciated!

I am talking about the official source of truth for the charts, which are the links Grumpler dug up for you. Every single one of those links can be found by googling 'New Zealand AIP' or 'Netherlands AIP' or 'UK AIP'. In fact, I find it's easiest to find for Europe.
Then again, I hear you on having a single convenient source for everything.
