And then, I might look like this.........................

Interesting idea, I like it and surely would like to do the job. BUT, making a paint based on an blank paintkit is fine , editing and reworking an existing livery is something completely different. Maybe you should find out, LES has objections or not, first. Leen

File Name: Morane Saulnier MS 893A Rallye - French Marine File Submitter: Leen de Jager File Submitted: 31 May 2013 File Category: General Aviation X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 9 & 10 Livery For: Click Here For Aircraft Repaint and visual upgrade for the Morane Saulnier MS 893A Rallye . This fine freeware ( XP10 version) ) model is available at the XPFR website. How to implement this French Marine livery: First make sure you have downloaded and installed the original plane. If you did you have a folder named MS893A_Rallye_v10 in the General Aviation folder. Unzip this skin-download Rallye Marine.zip into a temp folder. Now you`ll find a folder named MS893A_Rallye_v10 (likewise the one you already have) Just place the folder MS893A_Rallye_v10 into the General Aviation folder overwriting the existing folder/files. Thats all , you`re ready now. What happened: A: A liveries folder has been created with the Rallye Marine livery in it. If you already had a liveries folder the Rallye Marine has just been added. B: Normalmapping has been added to the default model and other liveries . Enjoy Leen "Flybike" de Jager http://www.flybike-paints.nl Click here to download this file

File Name: Piper Tomahawk Breitling File Submitter: Leen de Jager File Submitted: 31 May 2013 File Category: General Aviation X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 9 & 10 Livery For: Click Here For Aircraft This is a livery-paint for the Piper Tomahawk ( model for X-Plane made by AWALL86.) X-Plane 9 >> Download the original model by AWALL86 here :http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php? app=downloads&showfile=11697 I deeply fell in love with this lovely bird , Painting it has its limitations , nevertheless this was really a challenge , doing some almost impossible paint-things. This skin depicts the original within the limitations of this model as far as I was able to do. This set includes normalfiles with speculars for plane , interior and pilot. It also includes a customised walnut-panel ( for the 3D cockpit-panel only). Doing research for this project , I met Charlotte Forrestier , the lovely Swiss lady-pilot. How tow make a nice looking woman from an ugly male pilot ? Never ever expected to do that kind of job Well ..... please meet Charlotte !!! If you do not already have this model, begin downloading and installing it. Building-in this livery: Unzip this upload to a temp. folder. Copy the folder named Piper Tomahawk Breitling from this download into the LIVERIES-folder of the airplane.. Copy the files named obj3.obj and obj3_NML.png into the main OBJECTS-folder. Placing these two files here will have NO influence on the existing liveries. They will only enhance the beauty of Charlotte Forrestier , our female pilot for the Breitling Tomahawk. I would prefer to ask permission anyway. Converting and/or publishing work others made cannot be done without permission of the original author. Always ask permission first and refer to this permission in the credits. I think it nice and polite to ask. Leen de Jager

PMDG officially developing for X-Plane

Ohh yes I certainly agree, nothing wrong with that. Nevertheless I am not the "guessing-type" and seeing those great shots I could not hold my tongue. -
PMDG officially developing for X-Plane
Leen de Jager replied to AnonymousUser68's topic in General Discussion
The post quoted above , starts a two page conversation. A conversation about what? For me just a conversation about.............the fact there is not any new news.. Forgive me for making some small comments. Michael_Chang showed us a stunning NGX painted by McPhat and X-PlaneAustralia showd us one stating thes planes will even show better in X-Plane. I must disappoint you ,reality is a bit different. McPhat-paints for the PMDG NGX are no more avaiable due to copy-right-issues. Seen in that light its not very likely to see McPhat produce their extreme quality for PMDG planes in X-Plane in future. Till this moment the quality of paintwork for X-Plane is limited, the best results still can be achieved in FSX these days. I am confident future will change that, in time. -

Default C172 still an interesting plane
Leen de Jager replied to Leen de Jager's topic in Screenshots
The size at this stage ( wich you`re looking at) is 2048x2048. In fact thats history now, this moment the project has moved to 4096x4096 wich is the limit for X-Plane till now. 8192x8192 is not possible in X-Plane (yet). I can assure you 8196 is really incredible in a sim , its shows scratches on rivets.(question is , do we need that?) Sounds like a fairy , in fact I did it on an experimental paint for FlyLegacy a year ago. I`ll show you a more recent screen tomorrow. -

File Name: King Air Glass Enhancement File Submitter: Leen de Jager File Submitted: 21 Mar 2013 File Category: General Aviation X-Plane Version(s): X-Plane 9 & 10 Till now , the cockpit and cabinwindows seen from outside always have been invisible. Just holes to look though , without any "glass" to be seen. In the latest version X-Plane 10.20 (build 102014)adding some realness to the glass failed again. I did not want to wait any longer. Just place the contents of the objects folder from this downlaod in the main objects folder of the King Air. A backup for the default files is included. I am confident you`ll never want to use these back-up files. Enjoy Leen "Flybike" de Jager Click here to download this file

I have no idea which plane I should buy. I really think you have to make some kind of choice to start with. Are you "in" for airliners , GA or fighters? Buying scenery is consuming much money and diskspace. My advise , just buy the scenery you really cannot live without and use freeware as much as possible.

I am a happy Win 8 user for several months now. Internet Explorer does NOT give me any problems with the X-Aviation page.

Skyhawk 9M-AVR for Cessna 172SP
Leen de Jager commented on cooleroonimike's file in General Aviation
Don`t you want to enhance the quality and sharpness of the liveries? Simply enlarge the base texture you have to e.g. 2048x2048 and start painting from there. Enlaging the base texture will not enhance the sharpness of the base texture , the paintwork you add however will be of significant better quality. -
