how to calculate the RATE OF CLIMB according to CRJ200 chart
davidngr replied to davidngr's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Many thanx but how can we know whether we have ISA+8 before take off? Is there any method of knowing it? -
I m wondering how to calculate the RATE OF CLIMB with GROSS WEIGHT of 2700 (6000pounds) kg, Temperature 30 C, and QNH 2997 according to CRJ200 chart we have in PILOT HANDBOOK. Could someone please help me out! I know it is a little technical question, though:-) Can someone explain to me what ISA +8 means? I know what the acronym ISA stands for, but I have doubts on +8. Yours Davide

[SOLVED] X-plane crashes when i select a sid from fms
davidngr replied to davidngr's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Sorry my dear Philipp, you re perfectly right. I have made a mess of it. The new AIRAC cycle is 1107. Anyway I was able to solve the problem. It was my fault, because I was following the wrong procedure. Here some pictures of what I have done earlier: Picture 1) This is the programmed route 2] These are the SIDS available for rwy 30 (I have selected rwy 30, and then NINOT4A) 3] This is the route to be followed according to NINOT 4A stored on LEGS page 4] The mistake I have made before was when I clicked on NINOD 4A <SEL> (the one on picture 4), and this was when X-PLANE crashed, without realizing that the sid procedure was now avaliavle ON LEGS page. Anyway, x-plane sometimes continues to crash not because of SIDs, but because of something that is due to FMS. For instance I notice that if I click on a FMS button which has nothing to do with the correct procedure (as explained on the example above), x-plane tends to crash, so maybe you may want to have a look on it and tell me if you encounter the same problem. I hope I was clear Hope to hear from u soon Davide -
[SOLVED] X-plane crashes when i select a sid from fms
davidngr replied to davidngr's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Hi guys I have updated the airacs (cycle 1017) but again the same problem occurs. I have changed my destination. It was LEVC-LESA. I have programmed the route with all fixes and waypoints on the FMS. But when it came to selecting the SID, x-plane crashed. I mean after loading all fixes and waypoints, I clicked first on LEGS and then on DEP/ARR. After choosing the rwy and the current SID available for that rwy, this is what I see on the screen: MANDY4A <selec> AND RYW 30 <selec>. Then I pressed on MANDY4A ( i am not pretty sure whether it is the right name of that procedure), and x-plane crashed. I don't know what it is going on, maybe I am doing something wrong, or there is something else which is faulty somewhere. But as far as I can see, this problem has occurred again. Thanx for all. Waiting for an answer:-) Yours Davide -

I have find a way to post the folder LEVC.xml.zip -
No, the aircraft is constructed to support this occasionally. Overlanding occur when the weight is bigger then MLW. A hard Landing is defined as: Weight below or equal MLW and Vertical speed more then 600fpm. Wegiht between MLW and MTOW and verstical speed more then 360fpm. Landing with weight more then MTOW. Aircraf in a skid or makes a landing in a uncontrolled skid on a prepared runway surface. Landing or continue running ina a surface unprepared. Touch the ground with nose gear in same time that only one main gear. the aircraft bounces or skips after initial contact with ground and the spoilers is subsequently deploy with the aircraft still in air. Consequently the fact must to be reported in flight log. Decide to landign in overweight situation always that the moment require and always that the procedures orders to do this. First, the overweight don not cause demages to the aircraft, but you have to do without a hard impact Many thanx for your thorough explanation. Are u a real pilot? Davide

[SOLVED] X-plane crashes when i select a sid from fms
davidngr replied to davidngr's topic in Canadair CRJ-200
Hi Philipp, thanx u so much for your quick reply. Well my airacs date back to 1015 cycle, I mean the cycle that u have distributed in CRJ package. Do u think it's a question of update? I have not tried yet with other sids, or stars because I preferred studying hard the manual first before starting a serious flight with my beloved aircraft. I will try with other sids and stars to make sure that everything works fine. I am not allowed to send the content of LEVC.xml, xml files are not supported by this forum and I am not able also to open the file from my mac to send u the content of this file. Is there a way to send it privately? Hope to hear from u soon. Davide -

ok, thanx. Davide -
Hi guys. I am experiencing this issue. This is my flight plan: LEVC-LEIB. when I am programming the route and I select the sid NINOX 4A from SID DATABASE by clicking on the FMS button, x-plane crashes. What do u think it is due to? crash.doc Log.txt

Many thanx for all. I didn't know that small/medium aircraft do not have this procedure. So if I happen to request an emergency landing right soon after take off, I will not run the risk of damaging aircraft structure while landing? Yours Davide

Is there any way on how to simulate this important procedure on this aircraft? Cheers Davide

I am struggling to understand on how to calculate the correct LDB, when it comes to setting the correct pitch trim setting for LILW. The formula is the following LIZFW-LDB=LILW. I have read thoroughly the manual but something is still unclear to me. Could someone give me a real example on how to get there?

AUDIO WARNING "FLY TOO LOW" WHEN AP DISENGAGED
davidngr replied to davidngr's topic in Version 1.0 Support - Closed!
Yep. It sounds like to me that this is due to it. -
I don't know but probably I am doing something wrong but when the AP disengaged at 200 feet, as explained in the manual, the aircraft tends to have a steep descent and that is why this audio warning message occurs. The speed is at 130 knots and I do not apply much thrust to the engine while descending. The glide path is followed properly. Maybe is this due to an incorrect trim setting for landing? So I am not able to avoid hard landings. Why such a strange behaviour?I know I am expected to pull gently the yoke toward me to flare the aircraft, but as soon as the AP disengages, the aircraft seems to experience this problem. Any suggestion? Yours Davide
