Im glad you liked the layout of my signature. Im a huge fan of simplicity and was thinking best to just put it all in one line. I was looking at some of the Camtasia tutorial videos on Techsmith's website and got the impression that it can only output to a maximum of 720p. Is this right or am I mistaken that Camtasia cannot output 1080p?

Thanks for the advice JimboG. Does Camtasia studio join your fraps video fragments into a single file?

I've been using fraps but I find that fraps records flights in fragments 3.98GB at a time. Im then left to rejoin these fragments to have a single file for which I use freemake but it creates choppy resulting videos whereas I've verified the original video fragments straight from fraps aren't choppy. If I am not doing anything wrong, I'd like to know what some of our other forum members are using in terms of capturing/editing software to make the beautiful videos on this forum. Thanks

Ok thanks for researching that. I will use the 'attach' function from now on as opposed to dragging.

I dragged the image from my open folder into the browser and I was also surprised that worked. It started showing full size in the reply area where you type text just like Im doing right now. Both times it told me my post is too short. I was using Windows 7 & Firefox. Then, I said oh heck with it and tried to start a new topic but I think when I did the new topic I might have done the attach method instead of the drag method. Its not a big deal certainly not worth losing sleep over but I don't post screenshots often so I thought Im doing something wrong. Maybe I'll post a few more as time goes on and get the hang of it.

I was having a hard time trying to find a screenshot policy for these forums so Im posting my questions about it here. Recently I tried to post a screenshot as a reply to "What did you fly today" topic in the screenshot forum. I dragged my screenshot in and wrote a few lines under it explaining what it was about etc...but when I tried to post it kept telling me your post is too short. However, when I posted the exact same content as a NEW TOPIC in the screenshot forum it posted without any issue. Any help/explanation so I know how to do things correct would be appreciated.

There are three question marks in my post. With all due respect, I am assuming you're answering the first one is that correct?

Does X-Plane 10 save situations better? What I mean is that if you have a long flight you want to make in legs and if you want to save the situation in mid-air so you can continue from there on a different day, I remember X-Plane 9 didn't really save it cleanly. Many control and systems settings weren't remembered which made is impossible to truly just load a situation and go. Sometimes even the engines would be off mid-air upon loading a situation. This was especially common on third party aircraft. Has this been improved with the newer version? Can anyone please confirm? Thanks

Thanks for all the great advice guys. When recording videos longer than 3.9GB I've notice that fraps will truncate the video into multiple files. Is there a way to append these files together to make the video continuous?

Im just wondering what kind of software some of the guys in our community are using for video capture. I don't know too much about making x-plane videos but wanted to try my hand at it. Is there any freeware package out there which will capture video and audio for a beginner to experiment with? I use a PC (Windows). Thanks

I got it and am very happy with it. Very well done aircraft. I noticed it has trim on the pitch axis but I constantly have to put input in flight to keep it from rolling. I was just wondering do real falcos have roll and/or rudder trims? thanks

Does the x-aviation falco have custom sounds? I watched the preview video on the website and at least the engine sound didn't seem custom. thanks
