  1. I'd suggest you reference the sheer volume of satisfied PMDG/Level-D/etc. customers on the MSFS side .
  2. Took the words right out of my mouth. It's in no way a war, and I wasn't trying to imply that! Believe me when we're both done I'd consider it an honor to have the 777 mentioned in the same breath as the CRJ. I'm looking forward to finally getting a flight in with it when you finish!
  3. +1. I've largely kept my mouth shut because to date I haven't got a product on the market, but when we do, it'll sure as h### be deserving of a Boeing license seal .
  4. I think it's a pretty safe bet that every vendor in this forum section will be selling on X-Aviation in some way, shape, or form when all is said and done.
  5. The CFI in training in me just cringed when you landed that thing nosewheel first...
  6. Our upcoming 777 at XP Jets will be a full systems simulation product as well.
  7. Been having a blast flying her around Jim. Any plans for a paint kit to allow add-on liveries? Great work on the bird! Easily my new favorite GA.

    Project 3

o.O Wow! One quick catch, not sure if this is physically modeled or part of the texture, but it looks like you have the little "message hatch" (small circular door below the side cockpit window) modeled on both sides. It's only there on the captain's side on the real aircraft. Small thing, but I see it's there on both sides on this texture - might just want to disable a layer or 2 .

Are you sure that ALL B+ models have the new props? Mesaba Airlines (Delta Connection) fleet of 49 (soon to be 26) Saabs are all B+ models and all still have Dowty Rotol props on them. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Northwest-Airlink-(Mesaba/Saab-340B-Plus/1600459/L/
  10. This is looking spectacular! In regards to the beacons, I see them in the dark every day. They are indeed strobe beacons. Also one thing to note is that the upper and lower beacons flash separately - they are not in sync with each other and would be nice to have this implemented if you can make it work in the sim.
  11. The demo only includes the terrain for the Innsbruck, Austria area and a small piece of Southern California. In order to get terrain and buildings for the rest of the world, you need to install the scenery from the retail DVDs. Be advised, however, that without add-on custom scenery LOWI will be the only airport with terminals, etc. on the field.
  12. You've got your Javiers confused. The Javier that people are frustrated with there is F. Javier Cortes, author of UFMC. The CRJ is being developed by Javier Rollon (hence, JRollon ).
  13. Just my 2 cents Larry, but I don't know if I agree with your assertion of starting a zero-time student off in a glass cockpit. The first few hours of flight training should be focused upon learning basic attitude flying and VFR airmanship, which, regardless of how many fun toys are in the cockpit, has more to do with looking out the windows than twiddling knobs on a GPS and staring at a moving map. IMO, having a glass cockpit with all the bells and whistles may be a nice safety net, but it also creates a tendency to fixate inside the cockpit, which is not a good habit to be ingraining into someone who won't be instrument-rated for at least 3-4 years based on his age.
  14. I would recommend that you start in the 152. It may get a bad rap among beginning flight students as being hard to get the hang of, but conducting your primary training in a 152 will pay dividends down the line. I did my first 30 hours in a 150 and can safely say that it taught me some of the best positive aircraft control (commonly referred to as "stick and rudder" flying) of my career. Having learnt basic attitude flying in the 150 put me in a good position to transition into heavier, faster, more stable aircraft. Also, I wouldn't let price be the determining factor, but you should also consider that the 152, being the cheapest to operate, will also hurt your finances less should you find the going tough in a lesson or two and be forced to do repeat training.
