  1. Value of 0.9 (almost, we're getting closer)
  2. Found the tool that does the work: Text Wrangler
  3. My goal is not to mimic reality so that people think these are images from reality. My goal is to make cinematic clips that show how a flight simulator TRIES to simulate reality. It's like a painting: you know it's not a real image, but it is a representation. I need better clouds than default XP's clouds, but not clouds and rays that do not exist at all in reality.
  4. I have edited the CloudAtlasSoft.tga file and now we don't have anymore these strange unrealistic "tubes" that appear so close. The realism is not disturbed by these "intruders" ;-)
  5. Thank you for your reply. I'm on Mac and the only way I could edit the config file was to change its extension to .txt. Unfortunately when I saved the file and put again its extension to .config, no clouds appear in the sim. How to edit the config file without changing its file property?
  6. Hi I was not talking about the left arrows in this post but just about the right arrow. Talking about the left arrows, it's just unrealistic. Because these are "photos" of far clouds but in SMP they are positionned very close. Totally unrealistic. If I was the developer or a beta tester to SMP, this would never pass QC. ;-)
  7. These rays appear in the gap made by clouds below the plane. But God Ray's appear in front of the plane. I would like to use these rays but I have a hard time trying to avoid that they appear in front of the plane. I make cinematic clips and that is important to me.
  8. My whole scene for a cinematic clip is ruined... Look at the cloud under the far right red arrow.
  9. These little clouds may be realistic bu the way they appear makes the whole scene unrealistic. These small clouds are highly dense and thus should appear very far but not very often at the first distance from the viewer. So the question is: which file can I open in an image editor so I make them blurry or remove them? Thank you.
