  1. Yes, I know both planes are not officially supported in XP11. I just thought I should report it, so perhaps it can be avoided that this conflict persists in V2.0. So, I had not flown my PMDG DC-6 in a while. XP11.10 was released, I wanted to fly, yadda yadda..... After extensive analysis, including a complete re-install of my entire system and running only a fresh windows and XP11 install with the planes, I can conclude that there is a conflict between the Gizmo Plugin used for the DC-3 and the plugin that PMDG uses for the DC-6. If I fire up the DC-6 the plugin will be disabled. If I enable it in the plugin admin I have to reload the aircraft or I will be missing some sounds (the AFE namely). So then I reload the aircraft, and the plugin will be disabled again. Rinse and repeat.... I can avoid this merry-go-round by disabling the Gizmo plugin. So, there you go. I don't know if it's specific to either Gizmo or the combo with the DC-3 but like I said, I just thought I should mention it in case someone wants to look into it.
  2. Thanks, I found it. Apparently I now have to wiggle my throttle quadrants to make sure it detects the proper value it's set on. So what happened was that the TQ lever for the left engine mixture was detected halfway down (untill I move it), resulting in a stuttering/underpowered left engine Thanks for the responses
  3. Uhm... Sorry So after typing that I booted up X-Plane again and wanted to fly. The problem is back. The left engine is merely 'wobbling' along. If I excessively 'start' it, it will run normal for a very short period and then fall back. It looks like a failure, but even if I reset all failures, the problem persists....
  4. Propeller RPM on one side only goes up for the 1st part of the throttle. Up to 1000 RPM I think. That's what the gauge said, and making a constant left turn while trying to take off kinda confirmed it. I did not fidlle too much with it except trying to re-install, because I 'had a job to do' (in FSE). I will check some more when I come home from work. EDIT: Ok, so I came home from work. My first thought was to try the float version, since I've never touched it, ever. Guess what... It worked fine. So I switched to the wheels version, and it works fine too I don't get it. I did reinstall it, I did reboot between uninstall and reinstall, and after. I did try a 1900D and an A36, and then the DC-3 again and the problem persisted. Yet today it seems fine.... So, anyways.... just ignore me
  5. Ow noes... RC2 broke my DC-3. Now I'm sad
  6. I hope an optional GPS will be considered too. Just below the overhead panel like in the PMDG DC-6 would be nice
  7. Sounds about right. What I love about it though is that, at least to me, it feels so realistic that I can do a hail-mary and kinda nudge it to a succesful start
  8. First of all, thank you for your time. This is really something else, as opposed to Dan the Whiner from Carenado, who thinks it's smart to go the route of emotional blackmail by saying 'I dont have to do this, I can stop anytime I want to, this is not my dayjob' when there is a problem.... Secondly, as some form of feedback, saving the plane did not do a thing. What does work however is if I wiggle the start/magneto knob a few times from start to both/all, while keeping the propeller to the point of resistance (indeed, like I would do in a car if it would have an almost dead battery). I was looking at the propeller while doing so, and honestly what it looks like is if I can just get it past that first resistance and get it to turn, it will start. I tried this several times, and it works like that every time. I can fly. And I can wait for something official. I really like the plane, and when an updated version comes out I'll buy the Saab as well, if only out of appreciation. Thank so far!
  9. Yes, I get the official thing, it just seems to me that if at least most of it is working for others, it should also work for me. In light of that, not sure if it did something, but I opened the plane in planemaker and then closed it and now the throttles are normal. However, before I did that I could normally start the plane. Now when I turn the knob on my Saitek panel, I hear a brief sound and looking at the propeller while I do that I can see it make a slight movement, but nothing more. When I turn the knob back it kinda moves back. Looks like it hits resistance from the piston but doesn't have enough power to make a full turn Actually, it looks the same like when I would try to start my car with a nearly empty battery....
  10. So, I was under the impression that this one kinda works under XP11, and so I bought it. However, I seem to have a problem with the throttles... lever moves but MP goes bonkers up and down... Is there something I can or must do to get it to work under XP11?
