Today I did some specific tests regarding a feature I never told you about: I planned a function in order to automatically update the plane when the plugin find a newer version, in this way you shouldn't worry about missing and/or manual updates and theoretically you could update every single component of the plane (the code allow this), no matter if the update is about a script, a texture, a sound, an object or anything else... the only possible issue is about the generated data traffic when transferring big files such textures or objects, that's something I need to analyze carefully.
In short when an update is available you'll see this sequence:
You'll decide to accept the update or not, it's up to you.
Let's say that you have accepted the update, so let's stop the main script engine:
starting to get the updated files and apply them:
Finally, you'll be prompted to reload the plane:
If something goes wrong during the update process another window will tell you that, the only issues I found during this process are about internet connection and/or server availability, nothing else, in this case you can reload the plane and then choose to try again or decline the update in order to try later.

Few updates lately as I'm very busy with the holdings management so lot of coding activity, here are two screenshot of actual work in progress:
Actually I plan it to be a simple management, probably limited to no more than two, three holdings due the complexity of the system, but I’ll try to improve it in subsequent updates.

Disabling plugins is almost useless because they are already loaded so your tests would be untrusted, you should physically remove them from the plugins folder and then restart X-Plane.

Oh boy, so was that... seems that there was no sign about the doubled function name on the log, one of those hidden errors/warnings that sometimes developers have to deal with (no matter the IDE).

That 'something' is a redistributable runtime module that allow some plugins to work, without that module you can see strange behaviours.
Please note that often you'll need to install more than just one version of that redistributable, starting from 2010 (earlier version are available too but speaking about X-Plane those shouldn't be requested at all) up to 2015, and you need to install them from the oldest upwards.

No, actually such a tool is not planned, I need to think about it but I do not believe it could be implemented in V1.0.

Two screenshots about the takeoff data card work in progress with rain and wind (with and w/o gusts):
MAC and ACT TOW values are shown at 0 because when I did the screenshots I didn't have used the load panel to specify pax, cargo and fuel so some computations weren't done yet.
Data cards are dynamically updated in real time.

There're a lot of good chances that quality level will be better than our MD-82: actually we're learning some more techniques that years ago were not known at the begin of the project so regarding the MD-11 we'll start in a totally different, and much better, way.

Hello everyone,
the A.T.S. team is proudly to announce our next project for X-Plane: the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 & MD-11F.
First of all let us say that we understand very well your concerns and doubts about a new project declaration when our first and actual project about the MD-82/83 is still to hit the market, so why we're doing so?
Because the graphical part of the MD-82/83 is 99.9% complete: of course we keep that 0.1% for last minute fixes (if needed) resulting from the beta test phase and further upgrades, but there's absolutely no reasons to keep an excellent graphical artist doing nothing while I'm developing and testing the final pieces of code... looking at previous posted images all of you are now aware about the graphical level we want to achieve, and looking at the declaration date of the MD-82/83 project (April 2013) you can imagine how much time and effort is needed to reach that level.
Other than that, for this new project we’re going to have a new resource for the art department and if things goes well we’ll have even a new resource that will help me with the code.
Absolutely no time and no development efforts are, has been or will be taken away from the MD-82/83 project: MD82/83 has 100% of our time, now and mainly after we'll hit the market, so totally no worries about something such less support and/or loss of interest because a new project... for all of you should be now crystal clear that we at A.T.S. are not interested to hit the market as soon as possible with unsatisfactory products, our priority is to develop study level products and giving 100% support to our customers.
Back to the MD-11, we already retrieved a good amount of official documentation and we're in touch with some active and retired MD-11 pilots that are interested to collaborate with us, so this is something whose foundations were already started not something that will start from now on... obviously there're no images to show right now and Parsec will need some time before to show something, but in this very moment we believe it's important to let all of you aware of what we'll create right after, and somewhat alongside, the MD-82/83.

Yes, you'll indeed have an option to switch between two cockpit colours (need an aircraft reload) but colours may be influenced even by different light conditions (Parsec will explain it better than me).

I'd like to try to debug but I really have no time because the MD-82 development, I'm sorry... last thing I've in my mind (then I'm going totally out of ideas), have you checked for P180 folder permissions?

Ilias, you said that that file was quarantined and you cleared it with xattr: have you already tried to create a brand new text file in P180 folder with a different name?
If you check P180 and 747 folders with the "ls -l@" command (without quotes) do you see differences about charts2.txt extended attributes?
