It's okay, I found an XP10 plugin on the net called 'Scenic Flyer' which puts a small instrument panel in the corner of your screen when in external views, with airspeed/ altitude/ heading dials..

Thanks, I've set my hat up.. Tried the data menus but I run at 1920 native reso and their onscreen text readouts are almost too small to read (gave me a headache). Is there any way to enlarge their text without dropping to a lower reso?

Hi guys, I bought X-Plane 10 Global last week, it runs perfectly and I'm wading through the manual, great fun.. Can I just ask a couple of questions?- 1- are joystick hats catered for, I can't seem to find an option to use mine? 2- Is there any way to display a small text datastrip in a corner of the screen to give a height / speed / heading readout when flying in external views? Thanks PS-can i squeeze in one more question?- When I download new aircraft, must I make sure they're for XP10 only, or will aircraft for earlier versions also work okay in XP10?
