Unfortunately this new version does not completely fix the issue. Yes, the pitch oscillations are gone, but apart from that it seems that the changes within XPUIPC have affected some other commands. In my install e.g. I use Trim assigned to my joystick's buttons. Trim up currently is not working as designed anymore. At each keypress the sim is temporarily (for the length of the keypess) paused and the trim moves only a fraction. Reinstalling the former version of XPUIPC makes the buttons working as before, however of coure brings also back the pitch oscillations.So I'm still hoping for a better fix. Oskar

As practical as it is, I would prefer two things altered: 1.) inputs should also be accepted in small letters ISO capital letters only (that's at least how it works here) 2.) the term "HDG" in both the Mini-RNAV and the pop-up should either be labelled "TRUE HDG" or its value should be calculated as magnetic heading. I would prefer magnetic heading to be indicated as flying true headings in areas with large magnetic variations makes it necessary to have the variation variable permanently displayed (presently flying in Alaskan Airspace with variation ~23°E. Oh yes, now that I have tried with more space for the mouse to move I didn't expect it to be in need of such a large mouse displacement to activate the thumbwheel. I better stick to my key assignment then Oskar

Yes, of course there are a million excuses and please don't try to tell me how it is in real aviation... Fact is that you will never find any commercially operated A/C in JAR/EASA OPS with an altimeter indicating in in.HG only. In addition to that all the 340A and 340B I have seen in Crossair OPS did have both altimeters in HP (at that time still called mb) and btw, also from my limited knowledge of real world aviation: every ATIS and every METAR in Europe only shows pressure figures in HP. The answer is more simple than any excuse: Nobody actually cared... Oskar

... that use HP (hectopascal) as the main unit for altimeter setting ?!?!? It can't be soo terrible difficult to create an altimeter with a dual Kollsman window... . Yes, I know how to convert but you will hardly find any A/C in European airspace without units in HP. Oskar

Ok, that answers my question . Nevertheless I must declare this as a negaitve point. Configurations that do not save with the A/C are not really welcome. I know that we have to live with that but maybe once in a while you might come up with a better solution Oskar

Jim, thank you for your prompt answer. Re silencing the Cavalry Charge: Of course the same applies to me: whenever possible I Hide yokes... Re RNAV: yes in the meantime I found some fixes that work. It's the DAFIF-Database which is not my favourite... Re: V/S thumbwheel: that one I can't duplicate. I don't see ANY movement of the thumbwheel/switch. I tried all possible tricks and of course also hold and drag but nothing moves or changes. It just doesn't move at the moment. Mabe I'll find out later... Oskar

Yes, I saw that But maybe I need to try some more. The ones I tried were admittently fixes within the LSZH area - mostly IAF's which might be the culprit. The default X-Plane database (= DAFIF database.. ) is not really gifted with too much accuracy and completeness. Oskar

1.) After disconnecting the A/P I could not silence the Cavalry Charge! Any ideas? Maybe some Silencer Button that I haven't found yet? 2.) The mini-RNAV pop-up does not recognize any of my entries. Is there a special Trick to assign it to the (my guess is: default) database ? 3.) Despite showhing the 2-arrow cursor I can't move the thumbwheel for V/S adjustment. Not a big issue as I have assigned this functions for prcatical reasons to some keys, but still worth mentioning. Ok, I agree that I might need to read ALL manuals from top to end ... but maybe someone here will nevertheless give me some quick answers.... Apart from that as being a former airline pilot with lots of experience with the "good old steam gauges" I congratulate you for this fine A/C! Flying is definitely fun again! Oskar

So far I haven't had too many problems in assigning the CL's to my two Saitek-Axes despinte the fact that sometimes I need to repeat the assignment more than once as the detection routine is definitley a bit too sensitive . However I noticed that I need to reassign them after each loading of the A/C...?!?!? Is there no possibility to keep those assignments stored?
