  1. Stick with your plan Goran, I would rather that you take your time and do it correctly. Cheers.
  2. and here http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/saab/SAAB-340/
  3. Yes, sorry, I knew that you guys would have the detailed manual. The link was to provide the basics for those who are not sure about main and standby instruments and their locations etc.
  4. All the info you need on the SAAB is here - http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/saab/SAAB-340/ Look under "Instruments and Recorders" for layout of instruments etc.
  5. We're just a picky little bunch Goran ;D Keep up the good work mate. Cheers
  6. I am being picky.... Main gear "spade" doors arent that big or that shape and the nose gear doors should be open. Other than that, pretty speccy, well done. http://www.airliners.net/photo/Provincial-Airlines/Saab-Fairchild-SF-340A/1666147/&sid=03ceb38984cea44a72e3ed3dc5bf40e5
  7. Yes the first B+ had the Dowty, I should have said that the latest B+ are fitted with Hamilton.
  8. I agree Goran, don't get bogged down with too much FMS etc detail, all that is required is a panel that is realistic and flies well. Keep up the good work.
  9. Actually, many of the B variants have an FMS. If I remember right, it's the UNS-1M, as well as the same model CDU. This is almost always coupled with a Collins MFD in almost any Saab 340B cockpit I've ridden in. A similar setup is used on EMB-120's. The very old B's (first of the B models) had a UNS-1M which was actually a NMS (Navigation Management System), the later ones were fitted with a UNS-1K, later again were the UNS-1K+ and the very latest B+ aircraft are fitted with the UNS-1Lw. The B+ has a larger or extended wing and can be recognised by black rather than silver prop hub which is a Hamilton prop instead of the original Dowty Rotol silver spinner props. The only downside of the black prop spinner is that you cannot check if your landing lights are working by day as there is no reflection ;D
  10. Hi all I have just found this site and am looking forward to the SAAB 340B. I have got around 9000 hours in the actual aeroplane, both A and B models, fantastic turboprop. Flight Factory Simulations did a great job on the SAAB 340 for FlightSim, it will be great to have a good one in X-plane. Have no hesitation in charging enough to make a profit and stay in business as FFS fell by the wayside unfortunately although I am not sure exactly why. This is a useful site for most aircraft systems and other documentation, the link is to the SAAB area... http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/saab/SAAB-340/ Mike
