Seems after I updated to version 1.2 it has made x-plane crash 3 times trying to do a flight. here's the log. Just a simple weather push. XSB Weather push for: KOSA XSBWeather data: vis=18.000000 alt=30.510000,rain=0.000000,thun=0.000000 XSBWeather wind: 0/2500/270/7/0/0 2500/10400/158/3/0/0 10400/22600/167/30/0/0 22700/90000/162/61/0/0 XSBWeather temp: 100/5 10000/-17 18000/-28 35000/-61 XSBWeather clouds: 0/3000/0/1/17 -1/-1/0/1/0 -1/-1/0/0/0 Push complete. --=={This application has crashed because of the plugin: XSquawkBox}==-- The weather updates still cause a good amount of pausing as well. 1.1 Had never crashed for me, just had the long pauses. I also experiences weird discoloration of the cockpit screen during updates with weather. I tried to capture a picture but it was paused and couldn't. Sometimes it was all just weird colors or sometimes a patturn of numbers filling in the cockpit design. Never seen before in x-plane 10 Dave Bruce

Cameron, My settings are not high at all. But I definitely will look to adjust to see if i can lower the pause. Another thing, is there a way to make X-plane load the weather longer? I know I have xsquawkbox set to 60 minutes. But xplane tries to reload every 3-5 minutes. If I could make it longer that would help me out a ton for the time being. Dave

Yea Cameron, The freezing as you know is still real bad. Not sure what you can do but, I will wait until a fix is found. It made flying difficult when under ATC and they kept thinking I was disconnected., Please let me know when you have a solution to this problem. Otherwise great product. Dave

Cameron, Thanks for the reply. I will try and install the update this evening and fly to see if it helps my pause issue. My computer is the Xforce Prodigy with the GTX780M (4gb ram) I7 3.5ghz upto to 4.5ghz with 16gb ram. I fly using the Ramzzess 777-200. I understand it if still happends that it hopefully can be fixed in the future. Overall I appreciate the software and new look. I too have the occasional 5 second pauses every 1-3 minutes then the long pause every so often up to 15 seconds. Its just difficult when it happens during takeoff and landings especially with ATC on. Slo there is that pause in the transition from GFS to Xplane metar with NOAA wx. I wil ldo some testing and report back to try and help resolve this in the future. I too am hoping for more FPS with the update as I get down to 10-20 when theres an overcast layer in view. Thats with Overcast at 2. And as I don't like the holes in the overcast at 1 I want to try and fly with it at 2 if I can improve the fps. I will report back when I can. Thanks Camron and John, Dave

Hi John, I replied to my last topic and should have started a new one foe this. I emailed you a week or so about x-plane pausing to update the weather averaging 10 seconds and sometimes upto 15 seconds. You replied you were going to look into it. I was just wondering if you had found any reasons why, or anything I can do to stop it from pausing? To remind youy I use the NOAA WX plugin and never had the issue before SMP. Dave

I looked around and couldn't find another question on this. But I am using NOAA weather with Skymaxx which I am having no problems with. But I always have these random holes in the overcast clouds below me. Is there a reason for this? And also a way to fix it so it looks more realistic? Dave

Where does it get it's upper level winds/ clouds data from? I currently use XP NOAA weather plugin which uses the GFS model data for the info. Will the upper level winds and Clouds be accurate above metar levels?
