Oliver Posted September 13, 2010 Report Posted September 13, 2010 Today in Venezuela a Conviasa plane was flying flight number 2350 and carried the registration YV1010 and crashed due to unknown causes, the pilot earlier radioed ATC saying he had trouble controlling the plane, and minutes later it crashed into a field killing 14. The plane was an ATR 42. R.I.P Everyone on board, another sad tragedy for the aviation world :'( Quote
Warmbrak Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 That is horrible news pilotman22. Some rumours suggest that communication by the pilot may have indicated the possibility of reversed ailerons. At least there are a lot of survivors - it is difficult to find the positives in something as tragical as this, and fortunately many passengers were given a second chance on life. Good luck with their recovery. Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted September 14, 2010 Report Posted September 14, 2010 Reversed ailerons! Three 737s went down I think in the seventies after reverse rudder. It was caused my extreme temperature differences. They tested the 737 hydraulics pump by putting liquid nitrogen and then pumping boiling water through it a while afterwards. It didnt just stop but in some cases worked in reverse. This has been fixed on all 737 aircraft. Horrible few weeks for aviation crashes. Did anyone hear about the UPS 747 that went down in Dubai.RIP to the people who were lost in all these crashes Quote
