hamoody Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 I am brand new to Xplane, so maybe I am missing something, but is seems that I cannot save a flight in the Saab, close the sim, the open it again and resume the flight. Just now I was flying and made a new 'situation' after reaching cruising altitude, but the sim crashed a few minutes later. I started the sim again, but when I came back and opened my saved situation the plane was in the cold and dark load state. Is there any way to pause/resume situations? XP crashes on me from time to time so it would be very disappointing if there was no way to resume a flight. Quote
breadwild Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 You can't save flights in the Saab, in fact you can't really save flights properly in any X-Plane aircraft. 2 Quote

breadwild Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 Yes, you could make a case for it, but chalk it up to "emersion." After all, real pilots can't save flights either. Besides, it's so much fun flipping all those switches and hearing the engines spool up. Quote

I'm only just learning how to fly this plane after buying it in November, and I can't believe I let it sit in the hangar so long. And it definitely feels more immersive that I can't rely on saving a flight and thus must get it right the first time, but real pilots don't need to worry about the world running out of memory and suddenly ceasing to exist. Ah, well... maybe a proper flight saving feature will come with XP11 someday. Quote
