albvt Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Can someone show me where that "Autopilot switch" is located on the instrument panel? I saw this on page 11 from the "Flight Tutorial.pdf" manual : "At 500ft AGL, engage the Autopilot, located on the center console. You MUST click and hold the Autopilot switch for at least 1-2 seconds before it engages. This is a safetyfeature of the Saab 340A that prevents accidental Autopilot activation." Thanks. Quote
breadwild Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 It's not on the instrument panel. Its a slider switch on the console just to the right of the captain's seat. It's coupled with the Yaw Damper, so you really need to slide both forwards and hold for a second to engage. To disengage, slide them back or press the red button on the left handle of the yoke (you'll need to press it again to silence the disengage calvary march alert) Brad Quote

"located on the center console"... not very clear, IMHO...! Quote
breadwild Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Hey, I had to hunt for it myself! I think of consoles as horizontal, maybe Quote
