SwissCyul Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 Hey there, i just flew from Munich, Germany to Skiathos, Greece in the amazing FF 757 Upon arrival I ran into the problem, that the FMC of the 757 said the runway was about 3 NM to the west of the actual airport. It was raining and dark, since I arrived late in the evening So I searched the airport desperately with my wipers running at full speed!! I finally saw the runway and landed safely about 2 minutes later. So the problem obviously is, that the Nav Data Base (Cycle 1412) I have installed, has the airport LGSK in the wrong spot. Do you guys have any idea how to change that? Regards, SwissCyul Quote
Jose Almeida Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 Hi you considered that Navdata could be right and xplane wrong? I have found countless airports wrongly placed by xplane. José Quote
cessna729 Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 Or the Custom scenery (apt.dat) your using? cessna729. Quote
Jose Almeida Posted January 3, 2015 Report Posted January 3, 2015 OK, I checked Google Earth against xplane's default location and they seem to coincide. Quote
SwissCyul Posted January 3, 2015 Author Report Posted January 3, 2015 Yeah, i think it might have been a "random failure" of the 757. Because today i tested the same approach again, and i was perfectly aligned with the runway So probably my IRS failed without noticing Thanks for the efforts!! Quote
