Tom Knudsen
Ok So this is 3ds max to blender to x-plane 10.30 b7 Just testing this way of doing it trying to get a good workflow going before embarking a larger project.Using 3ds Max 2015 - Blender 2.71 and x-plane2blender 3.20.10 But I am now stuck on some lighting and placement issues I need som help with. Reference picture 1 (Noon 12 o clock) Reference picture 2 (afternoon 18 o clock) Last but at least I placed the model with overlay editor, but cannot seem to get the model flat on the ground?? How to I do this, could it i.e be done in the obj file directly?
liser
Try to extend the bulding a few meters down into the ground. Maybe that helps?
Tom Knudsen
Thanks, but that would only be messing up textures and model messurements
Peter T.
The polygons in the model has its normals flipped, try to flip the normals and then single-side the model so that x-plane doesn't have to render the inside of the model. Tom Knudsen
Thanks Peter, in such hurry to try out this I did not manage to think about normals. That would be a logical fix so thanks for the suggestion. However I have now moved away from blender and do export directly from 3ds max to x-plane 10 - Seems to be working way more efficient
