Hello I am having framerate issues (low 20's) which I don't think I should be having in X-Plane with this setup.

GPU: AMD R9 290X 4GB

SSD: Samsung 840 EVO

Screen Resolution: 1080p

Windows 8.1

Texture Resolution: extreme   (little to no fps change on different settings)

Draw fires, birds, aircraft carriers, Aurora Borealis, etc.: Disabled

Trees: Sparse

Objects: Mega tons

Roads: Default

Cars: None

World Detail Distance: Low

Airport Detail: Extreme

Shadow Detail: 3d on aircraft

Water reflection: medium

3-D bump maps: enabled

Gritty detail textures: disabled

Draw volumetric fog: enabled

Draw per pixel lighting: enabled

HDR rendering: disabled

Anti-aliasing: none

Anisotropic filtering: 2x

have you verified your gpu drivers are the latest? starting 10.30 i have seen many people complaining about very low fps and solved when they updated their drivers. XP 10.30 has an opengl rework thus very sensitive to latest drivers. hope this helps

A Cloud Detail of 70% is high, but according to the other setting I should expect at least twice the fps you have. On the other hand, Ben Supnik still has to solve fps-related issues with AMD-cards in X-Plane 10.30,
