No Active Route

PLEASE HELP? Im searching everywhere but cant find a solution. Ive rebooted X-Plane multiple times, rebooted the 777, but everytime i enter a route, any route, (and I do it correctly I've had real training) It just says "no active route" therefore I cant engage any autopilot. Not LNAV or VNAV, A/T or TOGA. its driving me nuts and I have no idea how to fix this.

There are two ways i have managed to reproduce your problem (no active route, so no lnav, vnav, anything else) hope any of them helps you:

 

1. you have entered the route properly, but you are missing a. to activate or then b. to excecute the route into the FMC (two step commit process)

2. you are missing to set FMC knob to AUTO (cold start it is set to left)

 

 

EDIT: to remove emoticon when i first put "b )" as second step it was replaced by an emoticon
