FMS compatible routes

Hi!

 

Could anyone suggest a route finder that makes compatible routes for the FMS? I always get the AWY/WPT mismatch error in the middle almost every route i try to enter into the FMS. 

 

I have tried the rfinder.asalink.net and AirRoutes for IOS.

Is your XP nav dabase current (updates: http://data.x-plane.com)? If not, update and mismatches will vanish. Or use an older Airac when requesting a route with rfinder.

I tried to update, but it seems like the crj-200 is running its own database from Navigraph. The file 'x-plane/Aircraft/X-Aviation/Bombardier CRJ-200/plugins/CRJAvionics/navdata/cycle_info.txt' tells which cycle to use. 

 

Just finished a flight from ENGM to UKBB with routes from rfinder cycle 1109.

Ah, sorry, you got me there. Right - just use the old Navigraph 1109 cycle, it does the job just fine for offline flights.

 

When flying online with IVAO or VATSIM, you should think about upgrading, tho.

If you use something like http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ you can select the ARINC Database cycle to match the Navigraph/Aerosoft FMS navdata you have loaded in the CRJ-200   (the current cycle is 1403). Only minor point to using route finder/flightplanning tools/programs is that very few (if any) can actually save in CRJ-200 flightplan format  so you will have to manually enter any new route into the CRJ's FMS youself. But once you have saved it, you can re-load that flightplan any time.
