Andy10r Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 The downloading was happy but something is not right with this driver.....The power lines and other bits and bobs are all outlined with red with HDR on and inside cockpit. Not a good look :-( Quote
jettojig Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Ouch! Anyone know if this is a widespread issue, or if there is a fix? I could do with a performance boost but red outlines aren't fun! Quote
jettojig Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Interesting. I heard it was a HDR problem, do you use it Canox?I might as well try it, can always revert back! Quote
HarryCYUL Posted February 20, 2014 Author Report Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) it's only an HDR Problem.....NVIDIA is aware and will fix it soon but in the meantime......my FPS went up over maxed out cities by 5-10 FPS Edited February 20, 2014 by HarryCYUL Quote
jettojig Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Wow, if I get close to that result then that'll be brilliant, currently getting about 25-30 FPS in the London area where I want to fly most, so changing to 35-40 would be absolutely wonderful! Quote
canox Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 I use HDR, but I havnt notice any red lines or anything else out of the ordinary yet. Will report if I do. Quote
jettojig Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Got the upgrade and not noticing any red line issues either I'm not 100% sure but traffic lights seem way more powerful, but it may be I was so busy looking for red that I just spotted them easier! Also, performance definitely increased by about 5fps in London - Enough to make the area useable again! canox Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Yep, some good framerates for me in city areas too.Flying over Zurich with OSM and HD mesh.. no artifacts everything looks nice and running smooth. Andy10r which plane was giving you the problems? Quote
Andy10r Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Hi guys, thats good its not widespread. I quickly fired up the Saab at Zurich.....I can only see the red in the cockpit and with HDR.....I will have another test later and tomorrow. Like you guys said i can always go back but it was worth a try. Ill try a different A/C now. Quote
jettojig Posted February 20, 2014 Report Posted February 20, 2014 Actually that's an interesting point, I didn't see whether changing aircraft could cause artefacts, all my tests were with the JARDesign A320neo since it's by far my most-used aircraft. I shall have to have a look! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
HarryCYUL Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 my red glow is gone...I installed 3-4games from STEAM and the installs re-installed DIRECTX and REDIST Files which apparently fixed the XP10 red glow in HDR Quote
jettojig Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 While the opposite happened for me, it magically appeared while I was testing some scenery... this is one bizarre glow! Quote
wim1976 Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 it's only an HDR Problem.....NVIDIA is aware and will fix it soon but in the meantime..... @Harry Cul: Can you confirm this, e.g. by posting a link, I haven't seen this on the sites of nvidia yet. Quote
MercuryMat Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 I already reported the problem with the beta version...but they did not fixed it in the official released version... Sent from Mad iPad's Tapatalk Quote
Andy10r Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 I was doing some fiddling with settings last night and the red glow is only really visible for me fo a few mins around dusk and dawn, i loaded the 727 and 757 and it didnt seem to be so bad (unless i just got used to it) But in full daylight and dark its not there at all, so not as bad as i thought. I thihk I have a few more fps, it all seemed nice and smooth. Quote
Jakob Ludwig Posted February 21, 2014 Report Posted February 21, 2014 The red glow appears, if you have "atmospheric scattering" checked in your rendering settings + the visual limit/boarder is a bit lower than usual at the horizons. Its not related to any aircraft. The red glow is rendered water from rivers, which cast through the haze on the horizon. Looks like the latest driver has some problems at this point. Quote
HarryCYUL Posted February 21, 2014 Author Report Posted February 21, 2014 @Harry Cul: Can you confirm this, e.g. by posting a link, I haven't seen this on the sites of nvidia yet.it was mentioned in the shoutbox at the .org that people complained to NVIDIA and that a fix is on the way. Quote
azpilot Posted February 22, 2014 Report Posted February 22, 2014 I have it and rolled back until the fix is ready. Nice to see a FPS increase though. Quote
scotchegg Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Will also wait until the fix is issued. When it is somebody shout out! Quote
ianrivaldosmith Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 I was just about to report this and came across this thread. Good to know it was not just me! Ian Quote
HarryCYUL Posted March 5, 2014 Author Report Posted March 5, 2014 (edited) this problem is strange, I have 3 computers in my home with Nvidia and only 1 has the red lines, the others don't Edited March 5, 2014 by HarryCYUL Quote
rleendertz Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 already reported to NVIDIA, so I assume they are working on it... I have a 570 with XP10.25 with HDR and all other bells and whistles, no problem!! Quote
