eaglewing7 Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 I'm currently using Felis' previously payware IL-14. The aircraft has a basic autopilot, known as an AP-45, it is very good, at doing nothing useful. The autopilot has always been buggy with the aircraft, so I'm looking into modifying it for my own purposes, if not removing it altogether and using the default X-Plane autopilot setup. Now, I've never modified anything that uses SASL, so I'm wondering if anyone on this forum can give me a hand at modifying or removing the custom autopilot code, so that the default can be used. Thanks in advance for your input. Quote
ephendi Posted February 11, 2014 Report Posted February 11, 2014 Hello, try this modified file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/722596/IL14.acf Quote
eaglewing7 Posted February 11, 2014 Author Report Posted February 11, 2014 Thanks for the file, but alas, it will not open in 9.70. I'm currently looking through the Avionics.lua, and deleting, and un-deleting things, seeing if I can get the autopilot to work... No luck so far. Quote
eaglewing7 Posted February 12, 2014 Author Report Posted February 12, 2014 That would certainly explain. Regardless, after going through the Avionics.lua file, and deleting parts here and there, the whole works, etc, of the autopilot portion, I consistently ended up with a blank panel, and an unusable aircraft. I guess modifying it will not work. C'est la vie. Quote
