SwissCyul Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 Hello. I have converted a airport for X Plane. The tower does't have any textures. I tried to add textures with AC3D but they are not displayed in X Plane. I first coloured the tower in plain yellow and exported the object. When i load the airport the texture is still plain grey. Does anyone have experience with texturing X Plane objects? Thanks, SwissCyul Quote
alfletcher Posted February 10, 2014 Report Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) Have your texture (.png format) ready.Open your 3D tower in AC3D.Select all polygons. Top MenuObject->Texture->Load texture then locate your texture, click Open. Top MenuTools->Texture Coordinate Editor... Your texture should be visible with polygon overlay.Hit the (LSCM) Unwrap button (down left) to relax flat all polygons.Hit the (Remap) Front button (Up left) if you want a frontal projection. You can select polygon individually or in group and use different projection over the texture. Try it just for fun.Position/Scale polygons to your taste over the texture. Close the Texture Editor window. FinallyTop MenuFile->Export->X-Plane 8 Object File... Good luckAlan Edited February 10, 2014 by alfletcher Quote
