Hueyman Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 I open this thread cause I would like we discuss a little bit about the future of X-Plane Not having much news, I still heard about a fully simulated Garmin GNS 430 for 10.30 ? That would be an awesome thing ! I love those GPS, I'm used to operate the GNS 430 on a DA-40TDI, but in virtual I fell in love with the GNS 530, that I got from Reality XP Sadly, it doesn't work in X-Plane 10 64 bits and the developer do not want to hear what we think about that ... So a Laminar Research made default GNS 430 replacing the actual joke one would be much appreciated. ****************** Other than that, do you know anything about this new version ? Further optimization of the code, app working better on multicore CPU's and single GPU cards ? What about the features itself, regarding the landscape, art assets, aircraft systems, ATC etc ? Cheers,Hueyman Quote

dwayne299 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 I recently read a post on the X-Plane developer blog about a new particle system on the roadmap. Maybe it will release with 10.30. Quote
MercuryMat Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 I hope in a better weather injector and updated roads map/seasons/meshes etc. And some but fixing, i doubt the 10.30 will carry major updates in CPU/GPU management.... Sent from Tapatalk Quote
scotchegg Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Didn't Ben mention some OpenGL changes at some point? Quote
greggerm Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 There's been so much thrown around regarding 10.30, I have officially given up on caring about it until it's actually available as beta. Between Laminar Research's track record on their nebulous "we hope to", "we'd like to", and "we're aiming to" plans, to the community's rumor mill which swings from simple improvements to the GPS all the way up to a fully functional Garmin GNS 430 (*among others), I find myself disinterested in "playing the speculation game" and more interested in seeing results. captainamerican Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 (edited) I hope they add exclusion zones. X-Plane 10.25 messed with my custom scenery, there was no way out. Thank goodness I had a copy of v10, 10.22. Im using that for now, until I hear some news. Edited February 1, 2014 by captainamerican Quote
Mario Donick Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 I hope they ass exclusion zones. X-Plane 10.25 messed with my custom scenery, there was no way out. The "way out" is that either you or the developers of your addon scenery add exclusion zones where necessary. Quote
alpilotx Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 updated roads map/seasons/meshes Thats what HD Mesh Scenery v2 is there for (other than seasons) ... To my knowledge there will neither be large scale scenery recuts (only maybe some smaller, very critical regions fixed), and definitely no seasons stuff (thats a very big pile of work, which won't happen overnight) ... MercuryMat Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Yep I know...i hope also for other countries...like at least South America or Asia. Sent from Tapatalk Quote
