I've watched both parts, and for someone who doesn't know anything about aeroplane he does a pretty good job. Though I would imagine most people here would find the names he gives somethings quite amusing. But he does give you an introduction in how to model the whole aircraft, which for a beginner to Blender would be very handy. You take the techniques shown here (windshield isn't the best technique) and your knowledge of how planes are made and you'll go along way. The end result of there tutorials is reasonably low poly (without the subdivision surface modifier) and could be quite useful for scenery objects.
