Need to practice some IFR so I decided to purchase a better weather engine than X-Plane's lacking default one. I absolutely love it. SkyMaxx Pro is definitely a must-buy in my book as it looks incredible, and performs SO much better than the default X-Plane weather. FloB Posted January 5, 2014 Report Share Posted January 5, 2014 Just to avoid a common misunderstanding: Skymaxx is NOT a "weather engine", it uses the x-plane weather engine and shares its limitations.Apart from that I agree that sky and clouds mostly look and perform way better than the default ones.
