SwissCyul Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Hey. I want to fly in Antarctica, but X Plane has no Data for this region. Then i found the AntarcticPak (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15162). Ok, now we got the airports, but still no textures (only water ). After following the Link in the Description of the Download, i downloaded the .env files for antarctica from this website: http://www.xpsrtm.com/xpsrtm.php?sub=Maps So now i got the texture files for antarctica. But where do i install them? I tried in Custom scenery folder and nothing shows up. Next i tried the "Global Scenery" folder, and still no result. The folder from the Download have following structure: -XX-XXX -> Resources -> -Earth Nav Data -> -XX-XXX -> -XX-XXX.env (X stands for any number) Please Help Greetings, SwissCyul
Tonka Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Which version of X-Plane are you using? .env scenery is no longer compatible in v10.
Hobelflieger Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 Hallo SwissCyul, I think, there is a serious problem: The *.env-files are very old and aren't support in X-Plane 10.22. It was the standard in X-Plane 7 and the first versions of X-Plane 8. Historical, there's no bridge longer. Best greets Dirk
SwissCyul Posted November 3, 2013 Author Report Posted November 3, 2013 Ah ok i see. I am using V10. Is there any other option to display Antarctica? Thanks for your help
SwissCyul Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 Well, too bad I probably have to fill the surroundings with WED snow textures...
