It's a really nice app, available from here: http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather You can set up to what level METAR information prevails. Above that altitude / FL, NOAA GFS forecasts will be used to set winds, temperatures and turbulence aloft at various reference FLs. 1 Quote
