AF380
Even though it has German registration on it, does anyone else find it weird for american to have airbus aircraft in their entire boeing fleet. not forgetting the A300 they previously had. clavel9
Not really: AA have had orders for new Airbuses for a few years now.
AF380
yea, but it seams a bit weird that they are now including them in their fleet.
clavel9
They're choosing from just two families: the 737-700/800/900ER and the A320/321/319, replacing a variety of types from the 737, 757 and 767-200 to the MD80. It actually simplifies the fleet a great deal and the 737 family alone couldn't cover all their requirements.
Emalice
Also, JetBlue has a fleet of A32X aircrafts. I guess it is not unusual even for american companies to buy from Airbus.
AF380
american companies as in American Airlines alone buying it, jetblues feet is practically made of a320s and EMB-170/190.
