AnonymousUser68 Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Progress is coming along nicely. All of the screenshots below have been taken with relatively low rendering settings so it could look a lot nicer than it is currently. Enjoy 7 Quote

AnonymousUser68 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Report Posted April 17, 2013 That looks ACE! Can't wait to fly around there Cheers, it means alot I couldn't have done it without your Sketchup to x-plane tutorials. Haven't been on the Mornington Pennisula since my Portsea days .. now that's going back some ... It is a very nice part of the world, I guess you are going to have to make a virtual flight round Portsea. 1 Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 A few more shots for today...Remember that I can't turn on HDR, I can just envy those who can. Enjoy 2 Quote

AnonymousUser68 Posted September 22, 2013 Author Report Posted September 22, 2013 Work continues at Tyabb. Not bad performance for a 5 year old macbook! I expect to have my gaming rig (4770k overclocked and 4gb GTX 770) ready in a months time, then the real fun begins! Quote
Ben Casey Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Keen to get this as soon as it's finished. Are there any rough timeframes to determine how long until official release? Best work I've ever seen on a flight sim by an independent user! 1 Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted March 16, 2014 Author Report Posted March 16, 2014 Cheers! I am struggling a bit at the moment though. The scenery loads perfectly on the mac I developed it on, I then moved the scenery package across to my new PC on a USB and it just won't load. It doesn't crash the sim but it just gets stuck loading the area. Hopefully someone here knows what is going on. Once I get it to work on my new computer it is ready to upload. Andy Quote
Ben Casey Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 Dang man, hopefully someone knows the solution. I'll keep my eyes out on forums to see if anyone else has ran into this. Keep up the killer work ! I honestly think you should show this airport to laminar and try get it to be pay ware. A lot of simmers are after a decent tyabb! Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted March 17, 2014 Author Report Posted March 17, 2014 Haha, thanks for the kind words, I will ask around and see if I can get this sorted. The good news for you though is that this will and always will be freeware. If you are in the Tyabb area I have made Tooraddin using the default library objects. You will find it as default in the latest version of X-Plane as it is made using WED's lego bricks! Quote
Ben Casey Posted March 17, 2014 Report Posted March 17, 2014 Brutal man! I'll get it now! I am in frankston, but doing my ppl out of tyabb in the 152's. Love how accurate you made the airport! The PAC is modelled incredibly! Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted March 20, 2014 Author Report Posted March 20, 2014 Problem Solved. Release should be soon, I just have to ask someone permission to use an object. Progress... P.S. Ben... I fly out of Tyabb myself. 14 hours in a mix of the 152's and Gazelle's. Have you had a go in the simulator? Compare it to this and laugh Quote
Ben Casey Posted March 20, 2014 Report Posted March 20, 2014 That's rad! Might catch you down there sometime! Haha yeah man, I don't think any flight sim will ever represent aviation at its true form unfortunately. But the level of detail your Tyabb is getting to is really adding a plausible touch! Look forward to the download soon! 1 Quote
Peter T. Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 great stuff! keep up the good work! 1 Quote
FloB Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) Boy, seeing all those great freeware airports getting better and better every month I doubt that we will see a lot of commercial airport developers in XP. If Laminar adds some more HQ objects and facades and improves usability of WED we will have hundreds of quality default airports and hundrets of HQ freeware airports all over the world. I just compared the freeware LSZH to the aerosoft payware version - and honestly I prefer the freeware version.I've already more really nice airports on my HD than I can fly to... AnonymousUser68 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Report Posted April 30, 2014 All done and dusted! It is up on X-Plane.Org and awaiting approval here... Quote
Ben Casey Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Amazing bro. This is going to be huge! lots of hard work into this! 1 Quote
Peter T. Posted April 30, 2014 Report Posted April 30, 2014 Downloaded it but the pavement is floating? Quote
AnonymousUser68 Posted April 30, 2014 Author Report Posted April 30, 2014 Runways follow contours must be turned on, otherwise you will find yourself sinking through one end of the runway. It's up to Laminar to fix this bug. Quote
