Jordan P.
With the new autogate there is finally a very close white gate that I can use for EGLL and the glass one for EGCC I plan to add autogate to EGLL areosoft default and TEDs EGLL then move on to EGCC if you have any ideas for it just ask if you want other airports! I will start the transformation tomorrow and I will keep you updated!
Jordan P.
Also if you haven't seen there is a new version of autogate! It has a white gate and a glass gate! I suggest scenery designers to use it in their scenery we because before it looked odd but now with the update it looks awesome!
JackMcLoughlin
I myself have started to mess around with the new autogates at EGCC and I'm really impressed with the results so far! Looking forward to seeing how you get on with EGLL Just a quick note, do you think you'd be able to add the 380 gate at Manchester?
Jordan P.
Well if you are doing EGCC maybe we could work together! Because I am thinking about doing more airports so we could work together on this what do you think?

Jordan P.
Working on it now in Overlay editor or do you think WED is better or does it not matter. Also should I contact areosoft to see if I can re distribute it? I would give them credit and and all.
chris k
Also should I contact areosoft to see if I can re distribute it? I would give them credit and and all. Erm.... I keep forgetting you're pretty young. I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask, but I dont think you fully grasp how the world works yet. I would be very surprised if (1) they let you do that, considering the README.txt that's in your Custom Scenery directory, and (2) even get a response from them.... (they may just ignore you..) - Ck. BTW here's the contents of the README.txt that you already have on your HD: The Aerosoft airport sceneries are protected by copyrights of Aerosoft GmbH Germany and must not be copied, reverse engineered, decompiled or reduced to any electronic medium or machine legible form without the previous written permission of Aerosoft GmbH. chris k
WIll you update NZCH Chris? Hrm, I don't remember NZCH having glass ones; but I suppose I could put in the steel ones. NZCH did indeed have a DGS system in place... I noticed that when I was there last time: - CK.
Jordan P.
So basically there is no point in me doing it to the default Areosoft because then everyone would have to edit the gates out of their files? I thought it might not matter since it is default and in every x-plane copy? I thought it only applied to their payware scenery.
Jordan P.
firstly i tried to install overlay editor to my new mac it says i need a python download but when i download it won't open??? then i move to WED but when i open it then the EGLL scenery it says there is no scenery and i can't zoom to the airport or open a new airport??? chris k
This is probably your first time using WED. I suggest you read the manual before attempting anything. It covers how to import an existing DSF scenery and apt.dat taxiway definition. http://www.x-plane.com/support/manuals/wed/WED never comes out and says " there is no scenery". You're making that up. Jordan P.
Yeah I normally just use OE but that is messed up. So I will check again but it said something like no scenery.
Jordan P.
Do you think I should do this project since I can't even post the file in the end without the downloader having to edit it themselves by taking out the original gates? chris k
Remlap By the time you've taken the time to visit this website, typed all your questions, read the answers, retyped the same questions again, read the same answers again, then typed yet again a question on the same subject; just to have us remind you that you need to seek permission from Aerosoft before redistribution.. ....you could have finished the entire project and been flying around it by now. - CK.
Jordan P.
okay i figured i wil sort out overlay editor and just start! I am just going to have instructions on how to edit it.
