pcartier1960 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 First off GREAT aircraft! now to my problem/lack of knowledge. When cruising and I want to descent to a lower altitude I first select the lower alt value and arm it, then press "IAS" and start pulling back on the throttle. Is this the correct procedure? (like the CRJ-200) when I do this the plane will not descend and the IAS does not hold. I have also selected "VS" and then use the pitch wheel but that didn't help either. I must be doing something wrong or out of sequence. Thanks! Quote
Japo32 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Press a second time the alt arm one in the front panel. Both methods are correct.. Maybe it blocked between the alt captured and alt arm modes. Quote
Muskoka Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 I have also selected "VS" and then use the pitch wheel but that didn't help either. This is the way I did it, but found I had to move the wheel a fair bit to get movement with the aircraft. Have no idea how the real aircraft reacts, but by continuing to move the pitch wheel it worked. Glen Quote
Japo32 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 ah.. of course... a little movement is a little pitch. Take in consideration the maximum pitch range is 2000 fpm. Quote
pcartier1960 Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 Thanks for the replies, I will try out these methods tonight. Quote
Japo32 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Also you can try the CWS (TCS in the plane) so you can control manually the new pitch.. and then press the V.S. mode when you have your desired pitch attitude. Quote
pcartier1960 Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 CWS (TCS in the plane) I like that one! Quote
