rddaos Posted May 5, 2012 Report Posted May 5, 2012 I bought the Saitek X52 and within a week of receiving the system, the joystick died. If I remember, I got it through amazon and they had a warranty, so I sent the system back and they sent me back a free replacement system. However, within a year (of EXTREMELY light use, only using it maybe once a week), that system also went bad. Often the joystick axes will go crazy and start sending erratic input signals to the computer. Also, the key I have mapped to the flaps gets a mind of its own and deploys the flaps in mid flight whenever it pleases. Just curious if anyone else had a bad experience with the Saitek X52? Thanks... Quote
Charlie Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 I have had that joystick since Christmas and experienced no issues. Quote
Oliver Posted May 6, 2012 Report Posted May 6, 2012 Hmm that sure is strange, I've had my X-52 for almost 3 years and had no issues with it, apart from the screen on the throttle not lighting up anymore. Maybe you got unlucky twice and just need another replacement? Quote
Kesomir Posted May 7, 2012 Report Posted May 7, 2012 I've had an X-52 rising 5 years and it still works. Quote

Gjalp Posted May 8, 2012 Report Posted May 8, 2012 I bought the X45, a week later the 532 came out! My 45 has a rough patch in the stick where the rubber like cover meets the base of the stick and gets stuck sometimes, other than that I have no issues, and I hear that the 52 is pretty much bullet proof also......might just be a case of really bad luck. Can you try again and see if they can send you a new one?Slainte,AndyNZCH Quote
