Hi, I recently got the HotStart Challenger 650 and I'm already loving it so far, but there's a small question involving the PFD. I've seen pictures and many videos feature a PFD with terrain view (don't know what exactly its called). Mine just has the standard blue and orange artificial horizon as seen in the picture. How do I enable the other PFD?

That view is called "synthetic vision system". If you press MENU on the DCP (the panel on the pedestal that controls the PFD), the topmost option should be "SVS" - that's what you want to turn on. Since it's the first option it should be as quick as pressing MENU and then pressing SELECT (the knob button).

(If I'm recalling the labeling correctly - I'm not near my sim right now.)

Note that if you don't have a valid position you won't get an SVS display. So on initial boot-up of the avionics it won't work.

That was helpful. Enabled SVS. Thank you.
