larjeet Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Has anyone tried Canadian Rockies or Inside Passage In Xplane 10 yet ? Quote
GrahamH Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I have tried the inside passage, but my global scenery around there isn't working correctly. The package itself looks fine to me. Quote
larjeet Posted December 30, 2011 Author Report Posted December 30, 2011 Whats up with the global scenery Im just running Demo version now while waiting for my full copy to come .Larry Quote
GrahamH Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 I believe this issue is only me. Quote

GrahamH Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Beta 7 solved all problems for me, and Vancouver looks great. One problem that I did notice was downtown, Canada place wasn't in the right spot. It kind of floated just off the shore.Happy 2012! Quote
larjeet Posted January 2, 2012 Author Report Posted January 2, 2012 Ok Graham sounds good cant wait to get my full copy in the mail .Happy NewyearLarry Quote
jadedguy Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 Inside Passage and Rockies work very nicely, there are a few issues: XP10's lovely roads are lost immediately around certain airports like Vancouver and Nanaimo. For example downtown Van looks great with all the buildings including XP10 autogen but the roads and traffic are gone (there is just grass). However I'm sure this can be patched because this is not the case with Edmonton and Calgary (Rockies) which look great BTW. Anyone have a solution for this? Some floating buildings in downtown Calgary. Higher resolution mesh would be nice. Overall Calgary and Edmonton look really good and of course CYXD is fabulous! (Learned how to fly at the Edmonton Flying Club). Another treat would be good looking bridges for both these cites. Enjoy! Quote
larjeet Posted January 10, 2012 Author Report Posted January 10, 2012 I sent an Email to Tom AKA Howdy and he said that he has plans to upgrade Inside passage and the rest of his senery to XPX . He mentioned that he will also be Adding about a hundred airports and may charge a five to ten dollar upgrade fee because of all the work required . Also Graham just wondering if you may have added the file IP_9_FIX into the add on scenery if so remove it as he recomended not to use this file in XPX.Larry Quote
jadedguy Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Thanks for the info, Larry! Very good to know. I wouldn't mind the 5 or 10 bucks at all- I love Tom's scenery. Taking the ip9 fix file out of the folder didn't bring back Vancouver roads, however. (Still have buildings) Quote
chris k Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 (edited) The lack of roads around Vancouver is a bug; which Tom (Howdy) has acknowledged.http://forums.x-plan...showtopic=56729Tom used a "road exclusion zone" since the original XP9 road data was terrible (i.e. non-OSM data) for Vancouver. However, a later released (Canada Roads OSM for XP9) fixed the Canadian Roads; but the exclusion zone stayed and hasn't been removed yet.Tom's Aware of it. He has an updated build which returns the roads; but you need to e-mail him.- CK. Edited February 21, 2012 by chris k Quote
