Reading your log.txt XP12

Posted this elsewhere, though there it seemed to be unimportant. So here

First off, this does not require any skill, and reading it wont break XPLANE.

Secondly, this contains lots of useful info for us to look at when you have an issue, posting the bits you think are broken helps no one. Post the whole log.

log.txt gets written over, every time you run xplane as does the LOG_ATC.txt which is required for ATC  issues.

When you install XPLANE you get a xlane installerlog.txt i believe you will find on your desktop. gas same info plus install issues

A lot of developers now add there logs to this file to keep it all in one place

So you see why we and Laminar require your whole log. That is a lot of important info,

Than we have a list of your plugins, you cant hide them

This is all important, Now its not hard to find errors. Really. Examples

[Scenic-Flyer/64/win.xpl]: Dataref 'sim/flightmodel/position/magpsi' has been replaced. Please use the new name.
[Scenic-Flyer/64/win.xpl]: It is illegal to register a command starting with sim/

[OpenWXR/win_x64/OpenWXR.xpl]: Dataref 'sim/weather/shear_speed_kt[2]' has been replaced. Please use the new name.

Most common one, could be caused by a few things

See it aint hard, its not rocket science, we got here because on day we looked at our log.txt and wondered what it meant.
