CTD with CL650 - new x-plane 12 update

Getting a hard crash with XP12 12.04b2. 
This one is new for me.  Just in case I blitzed the output folder and settings but that didn't help.

Culprit:
2023-02-23 23:05:23 CL650[dr.c:553]: assertion "dr->value != ((void *)0)" failed: CL650/glass/heat_on

Occurs at every load of the Challenger.   Other aircraft work just fine.

Outside of a different version of X-plane, any ideas?

Edit: well isn't that interesting.

Looks like a conflict with the dataref tool (process of elimination).  I disabled the dataref tool and the exception went away (the version from https://datareftool.com/) - I like that one because it is significantly easier to use - when it works that is.
