fletcherj Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Hey Guys,I've been a lurker here at the forums for quite a while. I recently started playing around with the WED correcting taxiways for a few of my local airports. Last nite i finished work on KMGR (Moultrie Municipal) and I attempted to export the airport to X-plane. When I launch X-Plane the default scenery still displays for the airport. My folder in the Custom Scenery folder looks like this: "KMGR>Earth Nav Data>KMGR apt.dat. The earth.wed file is under the Earth Nav Data folder. I've attached the apt.dat file just in case. Any direction would be awesome!!!KMGR .txt Quote
RealScenery Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 (edited) Hi fletcherj,Rename your airport file to "apt.dat" and you should see your new airport override X-Plane's default. Also, if you haven't already done so, you can read the WED tutorial here:You can also delete your "earth.wed" file when you're completely done editing your airport. X-Plane does not read .wed files in the simulator when loading your scenery so you may save these files wherever you like as well.Good Luck! Edited September 3, 2011 by RealScenery Quote
fletcherj Posted September 3, 2011 Author Report Posted September 3, 2011 Worked perfectly, thanks for the tutorial! Quote
