When I am learning a new aircraft the first thing a like to do is like they do in real life and simply conduct circuits and multiple approaches to get a feel for the aircraft. The checklist system is clearly setup to go places rather than type rating so is there any resources or ways of changing the way the checklists behave to conduct circuits or multiple approaches on the same flight?

The only checklist you need for circuit training is the before landing checklist - you can accomplish this via the paper checklist or by leaving the checklist on the MFD and checking the items yourself.
