SuperTuckson Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 HiFirst of all, I would like to congrat Mr Javier Rollon and all of his team to this wonderful aircraft !A pure dream to fly with her !However, I have found a little bug at 18 000 ft with the autopilot. Before Take-off I have selected the 180 with the ALT button . And choose the VS mode to climb up to my desired FL. When the RJ approaching the Level, I saw the "Altitude Capture" displayed on the PFD and the Vertical Speed decreased. But when passing FL180, the VS staid 0.5 sec on 0 and then increased to 2200 ft/m and higher as you can see on my pictures.I haven't found any topic about this bug.And Again MERCI for this bird !!!Jerome Quote
YYZatcboy Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Did you reduce speed? Seems to me like you are getting into overspeed protection. (The aircraft will climb instead of overspeed. ) Quote
Japo32 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Yes is the protection the plane has to save overspeed. It is explained in the manual. Quote
alxunru Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 You won't conduct a climb at 340 knots in a 777...let alone a regional jet. Your speeds are going to be as near as makes no difference 250 knots until 10000 feet, and then 290 knots for the climb till the mach transition (typically M 0.78 with the CR2) somewhere around 30,000 feet, atmospheric conditions depending.Cheers Quote
Dhruv Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Speed/Mach transition is typically M .74 in the CRJ-200. Climb at 290 KIAS until then. Quote
alxunru Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 M 0.74...I stand corrected Thats what I get for looking up CR2 cruising speed on google! Quote
