YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 CRJ crashes to desktop when opening up at CYYZ. It seems to work at LOWI. When i go to move to CYYZ I get a CTD. New computer spec's as follows...27 in iMac3.4ghz intel core i7 (x4)4gb 1333mhz ddr3 ramChipset Model: AMD Radeon HD 6970M Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 2048 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x6720 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-C2960K-152 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.507 Displays:iMac: Resolution: 2560 x 1440 Pixel Depth: 32-Bit Color (ARGB8888) Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Built-In: Yes Connection Type: DisplayPortYes I know about the scenery errors at YYZ. That should NOT be a problem. I was able to operate the CRJ just fine on my MBP out of YYZ, and I can currently operate other aircraft out of YYZ on my Imac.Log.txtCTD.txt
YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 Perhaps, but why would it not crash at LOWI?
YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 Hmm turning on texture compression, and now it seems to work. Lets see...
mutestyles Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 i just remember in the gaggle of post at the beggining someone said that was crashing the CRJ never the less run the aircraft with only need xpls and it should be fine.
dpny Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Hmm turning on texture compression, and now it seems to work. Lets see...Are you getting an Xmapped out of memory error?
YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 Hmm seems to be a fluke. Tried again and it crashed... One more try...Don, No I'm not at least not as far as I can figure out. I'll pay more attention to the error before I report it to apple

I'll pay more attention to the error before I report it to appleIf you're getting Xmapped out of memory errors from X-Plane, it means you've run X-Plane out of memory. Turning on texture compression will solve that.
YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 yeah not seeing the error but it seems to be working with texture compression. We really need 64 bit X-Plane LOL
dpny Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 yeah not seeing the error but it seems to be working with texture compression. We really need 64 bit X-Plane LOLWith extreme res textures, compression on, a plane like the SSJ or the x737, and third party scenery for LGA, JFK and Manhattan I can bump X-Plane up to over 2.5 GB of RAM.
woweezowee Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 I'm glad to hear some more people demanding 64bit-xplane But mot sure if "xmapped" was the case here. definetely not airtrack, wich works fine with the CRJ installed. Edit: hm. That Custom Scenery "GTA" is a real mess. What's that? Would you try with your old settings but removing that?
YYZatcboy Posted May 18, 2011 Author Report Posted May 18, 2011 The GTA scenery is just taxiway sign errors between MSFS and X-Plane. It still works but the arrows are letters.
