MFD map not centered on aircraft

I started a flight out of KFLG this morning.  At the start of the flight the aircraft was centered in the MFD map view.  However moving the aircraft had no effect on the centering.  It remained on the starting spot.  After takeoff this situation remained.  I have the map's orientation set to aircraft heading, and it was rotating as turns were made.  But it didn't take long to fly off the screen.  I haven't changed anything from previous flights.  Am I missing something?  Thanks in advance for your help.  Log file is attached.

If you have a flight plan active, it will be centered on the active point. If you want it to be centered on the plane, click the FPL button and the Flight Plan window will go away and the map will center on the airplane

I did not have the flight plan open, nor proc, nor anything else.  I haven't seen this behavior with this or any other aircraft before.

This is weird.... I had my number of 'issues' with the plane, but this one did not occur....

Can you post a screenshot of the MFD, so we can try to figure out what is happening?

No Direct To or airport selected as destination?

So I restarted X-Plane and that seems to have done the trick.  Ah, the wonders of modern technology!

Restarting is the best solution, since the invention of MS-DOS.... If not working, first try a restart!

Did you try pressing the range knob? That's used to switch between center on aircraft and free look
