Daniel B. Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Hi,when I view around in the Cockpit, some textures become white. This depends on the daytime and the view angle. Here some pics:System: MacOS X 10.6.6 X-Plane 9.6.9GreetingsDaniel
flyinhawaiian Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Did you also take notice where the sun was in relation to where you were looking...? :)
Japo32 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 Activate pixel shader inside renderings. Because you are not using them the 3d engine is not using normal maps, and more important specular maps so everything is brighting the same lever

Japo32 Posted May 12, 2011 Report Posted May 12, 2011 yes you are right. Not all knows about complexity of x-plane... but also I like to put solutions for everything here on forums.. on sticky ones. I will put this new one on the stiky.
crs Posted May 13, 2011 Report Posted May 13, 2011 Sorry for short and 'rudeish' last post. What I meant is that we are not 3D designers and I myself have no idea what specular/normal maps are and what per pixel lightning is (ok, I have some understanding here). Is good to know what effect certain settings have on the plane. It looks like most of the bugs are nailed down and fixes are being prepared. For some unknown reason last night, x-plane started on on my 40" LED LCD instead of 22" monitor. Spend 30 half an hour thinking how can I rearrange my room to be able to fly using TV. :-)Kind regards,Kamil
