Tread Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 Hi all Having a problem with the ap on the TBM900 I was flying on vatsim tonight when i was given a heading which I followed. Thereafter i was given a direct to a waypoint, changed the waypoint to the active leg in my fpl but when I take the aircraft out of heading mode rol is engaged on the pfd and after pressing nav the GPS on the pfd becomes armed and rol stays active. I dont know if this is me being stupid and missing something obvious feels like it is. Any help shall be appreciated. Quote
RobW05 Posted March 31, 2019 Report Posted March 31, 2019 You may have been too far away of the leg you want to intercept. NAV mode will stay armed and your current mode will stay active until you get in a 2nm range (I think) of the leg path. If you want to intercept a leg instead of a direct-to, you'd dial in the appropriate heading to intercept course and press NAV, then the aircraft will follow the heading until in range and then switch to NAV mode automatically. Tread Posted April 2, 2019 Author Report Posted April 2, 2019 Also just wondering if my flight plan is to Compton and the arrival airport doesn’t have a STAR how do I connect the gap between my last flight plan waypoint and the approach? Quote
