linzamin Posted December 29, 2018 Report Posted December 29, 2018 I read the manuals and did my first flight. Now I have a few questions. How do you set your vertical speed to climb or descend at a certain rate? There is a switch just to the right of the LDG ALT Gauge that says AUTO/MAN. What is this switch for? Thanks for any help you can give me. I think I have most everything else figured out. Quote
sirtopper Posted December 30, 2018 Report Posted December 30, 2018 Hi, you can set the vertical speed using the knob next to the autopilot Engage and Disengage switches. Below the the weather radar control panel. It rotates forward and back for pitch and then rocks left and right for heading. You can also assign the custom commands to a joystick button as I do. These are `LES/CMD/autopilot/APCP/pitch_wheel_neg` and `LES/CMD/autopilot/APCP/pitch_wheel_pos` The switch next to the `LDG ALT` is to control the pressurisation. See the manual `LES_A340_Systems` page 161 for more details. Hope this helps. Quote
